  1. Wireless Brake Controller

It's an option you can have on or off when you use your hazards. When on it will pulse the brakes when the hazards blink. https://www.etrailer.com/question-334867.html
  2. Tow Tune

You make a good point about the power band. I hadn't thought about that!
  3. Sumo springs?

Thanks for linking that, the guys at etrailer always seem pretty knowledgeable.
  4. Sumo springs?

I use one but thought springs might help with the beating my Ranger takes hauling a trailer all over the place
  5. Tow Tune

I think the Ranger does an awesome job towing overall but with the weight I pull (5500-6000lb TT) there are times I feel a bit more torque would be nice. I can't help wondering if the ford performance or similar tune would help out in certain scenarios. For instance, when towing on flat land...
  6. Sumo springs?

Curious to see how you guys with sumos or timbrens still like them. I've never messed with my suspension before but since I tow close to max payload and tongue weight I figure installing aftermarket springs might help stability and suspension longevity. I'm close to buying the sumo springs but...
  7. Towing RV with 2019 Ranger

We love it. We also almost bought the 2075 instead of the 1985 but the large bathroom, kitchen (gf wanted an oven and more counter space), the huge room created with the slide, the TV location and the fact that the 2075 was a brand new model, was enough to pull the trigger on the 1985. We like...

  9. Tow question

Try it in normal. Mine switches off when going into sport mode.
  10. Travel trailer towing MPG

23' travel trailer 6000ish lbs 12.8mpg avg over 3000 miles 55-60mph, several large mtn passes up to 7000-9000'
  11. Towing RV with 2019 Ranger

My guess is you're looking at a Lance 2075 model. We are full-timing in a 2021 1985 Lance and it feels very comfortable. Just stayed in the middle of Utah at 9032' elevation which had a short 8% grade near the top and it downshifted to 4000RPM's holding 55mph which was impressive to me. It...
  12. 8492 - 2019 Ranger - Trailer Brake Controller Availability

I called a couple others and nearby in Santa Rosa they quoted $285 so, yeah, not sure what the Petaluma place is smoking.
  13. 8492 - 2019 Ranger - Trailer Brake Controller Availability

I was just quoted $330 for the Ford TBC and a whopping $600  for install (3hrs labor) in Petaluma (northern CA). I guess I'll have to call around or road trip to southern CA where people here have been quoting $180 or less for the install

  15. What are you guys towing?

It's been good, it has worked as advertised and had no bluetooth disconnects while the ignition/engine is on. I haven't had to use the manual braking yet but I test it out before most trips to make sure it's working. I once connected the Curt to the trailer 7 way first on accident, before...
  16. Brake Controller for '19 Ranger

Yep, makes it harder to see the light but works just the same.
  17. Would I be okay towing this RV?

  18. Would I be okay towing this RV?

Funny you ask that, just yesterday I had my first. Had to brake quickly going downhill at 55mph on a turn off around a bend that came up sooner than anticipated and I was pleasantly surprised by the strong braking it had. I didn't fully stomp on them but was close. I feel confident now knowing...
  19. Would I be okay towing this RV?

Another thing to think about is the max tongue weight of the Ranger. It's 750lbs and if you use a weight distribution hitch with it, those can weigh around 100lbs. With that dry hitch weight you'd be at max without loading a thing into the trailer. I tow a 23' x 8' 6000lb loaded trailer right...
