Been on this forum only for a short while, and it's loaded with some awesome informative people.
I feel I have added all the bolt on performance mods that I wanted, and the last thing is the tune.
Struggling to figure out which one to go with!

Been looking hard at 2 of them. Livernois & Unleash...
I like Livernois because you can contact them by phone, and they have answered both my calls and been around for years.

I see a lot of Ranger owners on this forum run the unleash tune and made good comments about it.
I also see a lot of performance trucks racing on Y tube with Unleash tune.
Only turn off is they don't do phone calls, only email and I am not up on email support! I actually despise it!
Guess I'm just too old and old fashion. Also not too computer savey.

Just like to hear some opinions good or bad, on customer service, performance, ease of installation.

Thank you all in advance!

Unleashed, and I love it. It woke my truck up much more than the livernois tune woke up my mustang. Torrie will tweak it till it's perfect. I know email only sucks. However the upside is everything is in print and ready to look back and check.

5 Star. Really noticed the difference with this tune. Like that I have the ability to go back to factory settings if I need to.

Haven't tried 5Star or Unleashed but happy with the Livernois tune. It really wakes the truck up and I like the shift points. I did not get the soft shift. I run the 87-89 performance tune and the tow tune when towing. Some on this forum run the tow tune as a daily but it is not for me.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I have a 5Star in my M/H and it has really woken that V-10 up, as for my Ranger I went with the Ford performance Tune, maintained my warranty and made the already capable truck was faster with better pedal response. You can't go wrong with any of them, all allow you to revert to stock whenever you want. I keep mine stock a lot of the year, with the tune loaded during off road season and summer fun blasting around Tacos.

Do you run 87 or 89?

From what I believe I have read Livernoise built the Ford Performance tune for the 5G so that seems like the top two. I'm an Unleashed customer and felt Torrie tailored the tune the way I expected - I have some minor engine mods. Five Star sells a lot of tunes and offers an insurance option if your engine fails - at least one of our members found out though it would seem only a wildly incorrect tune could lead to catastrophic failure so maybe a coincidental fluke. There are others but I think these are the top. There may be a thread or two where members have tried multiple vendors?

Been running the Livernois for 72k miles with no issues. Livernois or Unleashed both have a proven track record on this forum. I don’t think there is a wrong decision that can be made between the 2 companies. Regardless of the tune you’re going to be happy the first time you hit the skinny pedal lol.

Can’t say enough good things about 5-star tuning and their customer support! I run the 93 performance tune full time, no issues what so ever.

Email Torrie at Unleashed and get the Torquerules performance no skip shift tune and be done. You will not regret it. I am on about 80,000 trouble free smiling miles! I did try 5 Star and didn't like the way it shifted. My 2 cents!
