Take the 10min to install it! Itās a game changer. I went back to stock a couple years ago just to see the difference. I reinstalled the tune after 15 miles lol. Having a tune and not installing it is like having a winning lottery ticket and not cashing itš
I have wondered a lot about a tune extending transmission life. I tuned my 2020 Ranger at 5k miles. I use the livernois Tow/Haul tune 90% of the time. Iām currently at 106k miles. So far I have had no transmission issues or really any issues. I tow my boat frequently year around. I made 2 trips...
Itās easy to change the plugs. I changed mine for the first time a couple weeks ago. At 103,000 miles I was definitely concerned about the rust. No issues and no rust. Probably took 30min. Sadly, I had the new plugs laying in the garage 6 months before I finally changed them.
Local news says weāre āsupposedā to only get rain with a slight chance of ice. High to mid 60ās next 2 days. Then cold rainš I feel for everyone going to get hammered by ice. Thatās going to be a mess with downed trees and power outages.
Changed the oil, front differential oil and spark plugs. The spark plugs looked fine and #4 had no rust! I was extremely nervous about #4 being a pain to get out. Especially at 103,000 miles and it rains here a decent amount. 1 is at the top and 4 at the bottom.
Installing a tune 98k miles ago may have been the best thing Iāve done for longevity. Eliminates the skip shift and the ASS. The better shifting has to help as well. In the beginning I was worried negatively affecting longevity installing it.
Itās interesting how the fluids are different from your 2019 to your current one. I wonder if anything has changed in the parts Ford is using? I also change the oil every 5k miles. Itās cheap insurance and takes 20 minutes. I definitely should have cleaned under the truck before working on it...
Changed the rear differential oil and transfer case fluid. Iāll do the front differential Monday when I change the oil. Currently at 103,000 miles. I honestly canāt remember if this is the 3rd or 4th time I have changed them. Rear differential fluid looked fine a little dark. Transfer case fluid...
Iām pretty sure I did the reset with the headlights and brakes like Dave posted. Everything has been good for the past 16 months. I got a battery at Walmart since it was substantially cheaper than anywhere else.
I am running the Rough Country 2.5 in Leveled struts and 265/70-17 Cooper Rugged Treks. If the Bilstein fronts had been available ( Covid craziness times) when I installed mine I would have went with them. My thoughts are this. If you are going to tow a lot and not max out the front suspension...
