  1. Detonation destroyed engine update

@f6sk are you doing it yourself or a local shop? Really curious since we probably live less than 30min apart lol.
  2. Intake Valve Cleaning

I have floated the idea of having the walnut blasting being performed. At 113,000k miles so far I have decided to just run it till there is a problem. So far it has been running flawless since I bought it. I don’t want to risk causing an issue when there isn’t one currently.
  3. Only 2 miles before the transmission blows!!!

I was curious how far it would gošŸ˜‚. When it said 2 miles I drove 4 miles before I pulled in the gas station. I was close to a lot of gas stations at the time.
  4. Only 2 miles before the transmission blows!!!

You’re good for a lot more miles than that! Still on the original lol.
  5. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

    Pushed it to the limits.
  6. Predator 600 Watt Power Station

As an update. I used it a Softball tournament a couple weeks ago for running the cooler and a fan. It worked really well! I also used it tailgating at a concert Friday night. It ran the electric cooler for 12hrs and still had power left. Plus a fan for a couple hours. I would definitely purchase...
  7. First Ranger ! Needs .. MSS ?

Congratulations on the Ranger! Personally I wouldn’t worry about any other issues. I bought mine new in 2020 and have had zero issues. I’m currently at 110,000 miles and think it’s a great truck. I drive thru mud and dirt roads a decent amount. I also tow my boat frequently. I would service the...
  8. Predator 600 Watt Power Station

I bought it really to power my electric cooler and run a 14in fan at the ball field sometimes I always take my 1k Watt gas generator, but sometimes the generator isn’t practical during the game. I can use the generator between the games though. It’s definitely not for a real emergency power...
  9. Predator 600 Watt Power Station

I just bought one of these from Harbor Freight. Does anyone else have one of these? I’m going to start messing around with it and see what all it will power and for how long. I will update the thread incase anyone else is looking at getting one. I figured I might as well be the Ranger 5G Guinea...
  10. 100,000 miles and dealer service

$400.00 dollars to replace the plugs is crazy expensive. I replaced them at around 100k miles it couldn’t have taken more than 30min. I’m currently at 109k miles. All I have done maintenance wise is replace the plugs once. Around 80k miles replaced the transmission fluid, filter, add LubeGuard...
  11. Beautiful Pictures

All the snow pictures are giving me the chills lol. Took the boat to one of our favorite spots.
  12. Transmission Replacement after Tune?

Take the 10min to install it! It’s a game changer. I went back to stock a couple years ago just to see the difference. I reinstalled the tune after 15 miles lol. Having a tune and not installing it is like having a winning lottery ticket and not cashing itšŸ˜‚
  13. Transmission Replacement after Tune?

The Raptors are tempting for sure! Even a tuned 2.7 Ranger would be awesome!
  14. Transmission Replacement after Tune?

I have wondered a lot about a tune extending transmission life. I tuned my 2020 Ranger at 5k miles. I use the livernois Tow/Haul tune 90% of the time. I’m currently at 106k miles. So far I have had no transmission issues or really any issues. I tow my boat frequently year around. I made 2 trips...
  15. Plug removal

It’s easy to change the plugs. I changed mine for the first time a couple weeks ago. At 103,000 miles I was definitely concerned about the rust. No issues and no rust. Probably took 30min. Sadly, I had the new plugs laying in the garage 6 months before I finally changed them.
  16. Blizzard-Ice Storm January 23-26, 2026

Local news says we’re ā€œsupposedā€ to only get rain with a slight chance of ice. High to mid 60’s next 2 days. Then cold rainšŸ™„ I feel for everyone going to get hammered by ice. That’s going to be a mess with downed trees and power outages.
  17. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Changed the oil, front differential oil and spark plugs. The spark plugs looked fine and #4 had no rust! I was extremely nervous about #4 being a pain to get out. Especially at 103,000 miles and it rains here a decent amount. 1 is at the top and 4 at the bottom.
