On the pedal commander website they only show 2011 ranger compatible devices, never had one before but could you show me where you got yours?
Use the search drop downs at the top of their page. It will bring up the PC18. The Ranger isn't listed in the description but all the other Fords are. There was a discount you can try "PC20". Two QDs and its done. I didn't set up the bluetooth and just use the city setting. I did try the sport and sport +, this truck runs very well with the stock tune and the PC! I like the Livernois tune too but I could be happy with just the PC installed.

Interesting, correct me if I’m wrong but the pedal commander essentially adds more “modes” to my truck. Like D and switching to S. Not an unsafe thing just changes how the car will feel and respond? So the pedal commander changes the “feel” while the tune (Im running a livernoise 93 performance) actually goes into my trucks code and changes when and how it performs ? So added on top it would again just be more “modes” and a different “feel” but no real preformance increase even while “feeling” like the response and stuff is quicker? Hope I Understood that correctly

That's correct. The commander adds zero hp/performance just a more responsive pedal with different modes. This is a good option for those who don't want/need more power (why wouldn't you ? ) but just a more responsive pedal. But for a couple hundred more you can have a tune that really wakes this 2.3cyl up.

We do also offer our LME Throttle Enhancer for most of the current Ford , Lincoln 2008-2020 model year vehicles and have another version for Chrysler vehicles as well. Our throttle enhancer also includes the gain adjustment knob included standard where as most companies charge a premium for the adjustment feature. Using top quality, USA assembled manufacturing, fully digital processing, and OEM quality connections our Throttle Enhancer is designed for reliability, and durability that your vehicle deserves.

You can program the throttle control directly within the tune itself. Pedal commanders or anything similar is 100% a waste of money In my opinion.
It gives the illusion of responsiveness/power by putting a "gain" on what the ecu sees the throttle position sensor doing. Pushing the pedal further will have exactly the same effect.

Big props to Anthony and Livernios. They were able to get the tune(s) to me before the 3 day weekend and now I get to play up in the Sierras all weekend with MORE POWER. I did take it for a spin around the block real quick and even with my camping stuff in the bed it's a very noticeable power improvement.

So sweet.

The tuner from Livernois worked great, it took out the skip shift and shut off the engine kill at the stop light. I also was able to calibrate my speedometer for the 33's, I checked it with the speedometer and a radar speed trailer. The tow tune worked great with 89 octane, I will have to check it with 91.
As soon as someone comes out with a LSD I will install lower gears, the stock carrier has the ring gear welded to it. I will have to ask Livernois if they have a LSD for the Ranger.

Hey just curious, what did you set your revs to for the 33s?

Put about 300 miles on it up in the mountains the last 2 days ( we got chased out by some serious smoke ). I loaded in the 91-93 soft shift, to put it in one word, superb. Damn it's smooth, holding gears when it needs to, swiftly and softly rolling through the gears when it needs to do that. I'd have paid $500 just to get the tranny to shift that well. Anthony, give the guys that sorted out that programming an atta boy ( or a raise  ). beautiful work guys. The extra power passing folks is handy too, was reeling a guy in in a newish F150 uphill with all my camping gear in the back trying to pass a Prius in one of the way to few and short passing lanes on Hwy 88 on the way home. Even got a nod from the guy when we went by him on the next one.

Earlier on Saturday before the smoke rolled in.

Just went and looked, 20.7 for the tank so far ( filled when we left ) It says I have fuel left for 45 miles. We live almost at sea level, we crossed 2 passes over 8000 feet to get to our destination which was 9600 at our campsite. 5 to 6 miles of 4 low in and out mostly just crawling along and only one spot where you are definitely 3 wheelin it. I haven't reset the wheel diameter yet and I'm now running 265/70r18 and I absolutely drive like a polite asshole everywhere I go, I rarely get passed by anybody. It certainly hasn't got any worse than prior to having the tune. I'll read up on the pro/cons of resetting the tire diameter either with the tuner or forescan ( I have both ) and will report in the milage thread when I have solid info.

I know this is old new but I cannot say enough good things about Livernois Tuning. They have been extremely helpful and quick to respond. I bought my tuner second hand. I shipped it back for a reflash and had it back in under two weeks. I just sent them my stock file and tuning request late last night and received an email stating my new tune was available today. Cannot wait to get home and test it out!

While I was completing the paperwork for the Ranger, the Finance guy and I were chatting about cars and bikes.

He had a Focus RS and was absolutely effervescent about the performance and service from Livernois!

They're the real-deal. Looking forward to the upgrade.
