between yesterday and today ... gathered up some timber for the carport project. Put concrete in earlier this fall.

Yep, you do have to do some removal of some interior parts, trimming of the gutter rail, drill a couple holes, replace some double sided tape, work around airbags ... and so on.

Started putting the roof rails on .... one side at a time. Had difficulty with how the bolts aligned on the inside of the cab. there are 2 layers of metal ... had to find a way to make the access hole bigger with one of the front bolts. So, long project longer, I'll do the other side another...

it'll take about a month to get here, but that is fine - I have plenty other projects on my list to work on in the meantime.
got the replacement driver side slider on ... doesn't look any different ... probably going to just bend the pinch weld. But I'll send them a note first. They had asked for measurements, but with all the angles i'm not sure where to measure. I ended up measuring the "inside" side of the bars...

always on the lookout for routes near the springs ... but that does not look like a route for a stock vehicle, which is what i'm running at this time. Looks fun though.
