Hmm - So the 3 questions are.

How much does it reduce the noise of the HP Pump?
It is worth the investment?
Will the cover hold heat (internal) to the HP Pump and be a detrimental factor in the electrical function of it? Even though it has (cool) fuel running through it, it may make it hotter by encasing the heat from the engine. (just a thought) and wonder if engineers tested this theory.

Saw this on Facebook where someone noticed the new rangers have a cover on the high pressure fuel pump. lt supposedly fits the 19-23 and drastically reduced the pump noise. It's made of the same material as the engine cover. Might also p
rotect that area from the famous drip onto the engine.

It's the sewing machine sound you hear - more pronounced at (Cold-Engine) Start.
If you take a mechanics stethoscope and place it on the HP Pump housing, you will know what everyone is referencing.
Is is audible? Yes
Is it annoying? Somewhat but (NORMAL)
Will a cover muffle some of the sound? Yes, but to a point of not hearing it (to a tuned ear) most likely not - it's only going to slightly reduce it.

We can always turn the fake engine noise back on!
I would do that but I need several sounds to select from depending on my mood.
Supercharged 5.0
The Fart sound.
Poorly running Model T.

Just priced it at several places $85 list, and found it for $60 shipped to my home. I'll pass and listen to the sewing machine.
Where $60 shipped?

The pump itself has a cover. It's the same material as the engine cover. I can see it on my 2019.

It's this....

Since it's directly on the pump, maybe it's there for protection from heat.

I never actually looked closely at mine until today, we do have a cover already, but it appears they either removed this one or they installed the (new design) cover over the existing cover and bracket.
Bracket Purpose? - Protect the pump is my guess.
I hit it with my Stethoscope and the bracket actually enhances the sound (makes it resonate)
so, I am thinking they added the cover over the top of the whole thing to tamper down the resonation as I cannot see engineers removing that bracket.

A quick shot of mine on my 22

Is the pump really that loud?

I can't recall ever really hearing the fuel pump on mine while I had it. Only times was if my head was near it.

Otherwise all I heard was the typical turbo charger sewing machine noises from the topside.

Funny- the only sewing machine noise I get is from the stock exhaust system?!
