Exactly this. Turbo's may (or may not) be a problem, but with all the computer/electronic controlled components on today's vehicles, how long do you expect all that other stuff (aka "sh*t") to hold up? Try to get Billy Joe with the repair shop down the corner to fix any of it.
Personally ,I think we should all just drive the damn things and quit complaining about the shifting characteristics. You've got three drive modes so just pick one you like and go with it. You'll learn soon enough how to optimize your driving experience. There's also a variety of tuning options...
Just a general response but you don't have to listen too hard to hear noises (road noise, wind noise, random squeaks, buzzes, rattles) in these cabs. I'm trying to learn to live with them but might reach the point where something's got to be done. Not quite there yet.
I don't have the exact numbers anymore but I got a heck of a lot more money from the dealer trading in my 2019 F-150 XL in for my current 2021 Ranger (XL w/ FX2 and STX packages; that's a mouthful.)
Never hurts to check with your local brick and mortar.
Not a mod per se but I added this Ford bedliner (and jeez I didn't pay that much):

But I should have added this one like I had on my previous F-150's...
The lady is right. I only had my 2019 F-150 for about a year and a half when I traded for my 2021 Ranger. The F-150 was too much of everything for me, didn't need all the size and bulk. My previous F-150 prior to that was the old body style, circa 2003. That was much more sleek and maneuverable...
I solved this problem by getting the XL model.
Seriously, I'm no fan of all that silver trim. Not sure if it's supposed to add a touch of luxury to the cab, but it just doesn't do anything for me. I can understand why you want to get rid of it.
Some good info here so jump in and "get'r done"!
The door check (aka detent) on these suck. The door will open halfway and stop, and then all the way to fully open before stopping again. Most vehicles have at least 3 stopping points before fully opened. I've already chipped the door edge on a concrete wall because the door went straight past...
4X4- I don't need it so I don't have it. While I'm sure a lot of truck owners do need it and use it, there's probably just as many who buy it for the prestige, bragging rights or whatever you want to call it. Just like the lifted trucks that get used primarily as grocery getters (you see them in...
I've done that too, and in my book it's worth it to go with the top end tint (in my case, ceramic).
Interestingly, the guy who tinted it told me that that rear privacy glass doesn't really provide any UV protection. He suggested a clear ceramic tint over it to keep the same level of tint but...
This is the first I've heard of people getting better mileage in Sport mode. At the same time, many engines are designed to run at higher revs to get the most performance, and possibly efficiency, out of them. Think about any German engine (I've had a few); they like to be run hard and are...
Don't know if you've seen this from another thread, but your point about the current cabin air filtration system certainly seems justified:

I'm guessing you're from California, or else somewhere out West. Never heard of a "smoky climate/smoke country", but with all the hellacious wildfires the past few seasons, I get it.
Wherever you are, you can only expect so much from your truck's ability to deal with the problem. I know this...
