Bought my 2021 XLT 4x4 301a Labor Day weekend. Sticker was $37,335, I paid $37k and then had $3k in Labor Day trade-assist cash. I didn't trade anything in but wife's lease is expiring in November so we qualified. Bought from AutoNation Ford in Tustin. I was being quoted $3k-$10k above sticker from every other dealer. AuoNation made it super easy. I looked at everything in this class (even the very outdated Frontier and the 2022 Frontier). Ranger won out. Stoked with the truck.

Your order seems to be doing good compared to mine, I ordered a week before you (8/11)accepted, to be built w/o 9/27 I have vin# but can’t seem to get the sticker.
Can you tell me how’d you got the sticker?
Thanks.

Hi everyone, first post here. I appreciated the pricing resources from everyone sharing what they payed so I want to go ahead and pay it forward.

I picked up a 2021 XLT 301a 2wd xlt with the FX2 and tow package monday for 36,400 otd at Mullinax in Mobile. Not what I really wanted and after looking over the last few months for a ranger I was going to just wait till next year (would rather have an base 301a or a 4x4) but my Kia just died so car shopping I went. Unfortunately I did not find out about X-plan pricing till recently and they are enforcing the 90 days period but they were going to allow it for a truck on the lot or for order (34,900 was the quoted price with X-Plan with the 750 student incentive)

I had actually also missed out on an used 2020 xlt 4x4 with the 302a package, bedliner and running boards with 14,000 miles for 32,991 before taxes and fees at another dealer on the way to Mobile from Florida which got sold before I got there that day so that was a bummer.

I usually always try to hunt every deal I can on big stuff but sometimes shit happens so I just went ahead an bought it with all the delays in orders I'm hearing of as of late.

I'm shocked that Tustin Ford was the cheapest around. In 2019 when I was looking they were the more expensive dealership. I ended up buying at Theodore Robinson Ford but Villa Ford was comparable at the time. Mine was slightly cheaper then yours with a MSRP of about just under 40k.

Robbins didn't have much inventory aside from Cactus Grey so I didn't even reach out. Villa Ford was $3k above MSRP and refused to budge. Ken Grody Redlands was willing to get aggressive but they didn't have anything I wanted but would order and discount. Unfortunately the $3k deal was Labor Day and required taking delivery from dealer inventory before 9/6. Otherwise it would be $1k plus the order $1k rebate. Penske Ford in San Diego was willing to play ball but only on in-transit units that weren't shipped yet. Hemborg in Norco was $2500 above.

Dealers that were $5k+ above MSRP:
Puente Hills Ford
Palm Springs Ford
Fritts Ford
Raceway Ford
Sunrise Ford Fontana (were actually $2k above MSRP but required $2300 in dealer add on BS)
DCH Thousand Oaks

A few more I can't remember off the top of my head.

What is the most over msrp anyone has seen? Larry Miller Ford in Draper, UT is charging an $8,810 fee on every Ranger for "dealer upgrades". However, none of them are in stock; all on order or in transit. They also do not list what the "add ons" are. I got my Ranger before all this crap, but if I lived closer to this dealer I would stop in, pretend to be interested, then show them what I paid 6 months ago and leave.

Dealer upgrades = getting additional upgrades? (Aftermarket shocks, aftermarket tires and more) would make sense.

dealership near me mark up is 5995 cause they just greedy.
It baffles me that People get taken like this. Especially with the internet in your pocket.

I just find it unlikely that this dealer is putting aftermarket wheels, tires, lift kit, tune, exhaust, and more to reach the nearly $9k markup on every single ranger it plans on getting. If I'm down near them any time soon I will stop in and ask.

I just put a deposit on a 21 Ranger XLT. MSRP was 42800. I was told XPLAN was available and the price would be 41400. No dealer add ons. No extra on MSRP. Vehicle is in transit and eta of 10/22.. Will post back when the vehicle is in posession.
