  1. Goodbye Ranger

Nah, still have wife's car and kids car that are gas. Will eventually buy an older beater truck to have around the house.
  2. Goodbye Ranger

Nope, not trolling. 13.8 per the truck lie-o-meter. 13.9 hand calculated over 6 months. Bumper to bumper, stop light to stop light. I granny drove it for a few weeks and was barely mid-14's. Took a 4 hour road trip and averaged about 20 MPG at 75 MPH. Average spend on gas for this truck over...
  3. Goodbye Ranger

Eh, I didn't "need" the truck. With gas prices at $6 a gallon locally and below 14 MPG I couldn't justify keeping it. I don't "need" the Tesla either. Either one is a lifestyle/luxury purchase and I don't kid myself otherwise.
  4. Goodbye Ranger

Posted a while ago about my abysmal gas mileage. With registration due this last month I shopped the truck around. Good enough numbers came in that I let it go. Sold my 2021 XLT 301a with 9k miles for $36,500 to a local dealer. Decided to go a complete extreme from the truck and reserved a...
  5. Abysmal Fuel Mileage

I have left that alone. Figure if I let it do it's job it would help. I may disable it on the next drive and see what happens.
  6. Abysmal Fuel Mileage

I'll try it. Tedious work is better than giving up my truck
  7. Abysmal Fuel Mileage

Right now I could easily sell it for more than I paid for it. Question is on a replacement what I would pay and if that's worth it.
  8. Abysmal Fuel Mileage

I have been watching my fuel mileage over the last couple months as gas has been rising. Lie-o-meter says 13.8 MPG and hand calculated says 14.86. My commute is 6 miles in bumper to bumper, stop light to stop light, traffic. Last 2 weeks been driving it like a grandpa and still haven't crossed...
  9. I drove the new Frontier yesterday.

I like the design of the Frontier. I decided to see what something as close as possible would run on their Build & Price. Not that I had any intention of getting rid of my 5k mile 2021 Ranger but was curious. My Ranger sticker was $37,355, the Frontier would be $40,405.
  10. Purchasing from Levitown Ford

How did you use your Ford Pass points online? I cannot figure it out.
  11. Dealer in Orange County … or San Diego Area???

AutoNation Ford Tustin is pretty solid with an appointment and not far from the San Clemente area. My go-to is Fritt's Ford in Riverside but that is a bit of a haul from SD/OC.
  12. Looking at moving to South Sound area

Thank you, we will look into those
  13. Looking at moving to South Sound area

Thanks. We have seen the traffic on the 5 on each of our visits over the last couple years but compared to our IE to OC or LA traffic it wasn't nearly as bad. We'll be checking out areas over Spring Break in March so we will check out those listed. I appreciate the feedback. Wife wants a new...
  14. Looking at moving to South Sound area

Hey folks, I am currently located in Southern CA but have a lucrative opportunity to get up to an area wife and I have been looking at for a while, with someone else footing the moving bill. Our preference (ok, dream) would be Gig Harbor but more than likely we'll be looking at the Bonney Lake...
  15. My First ever Truck, going to document the Journey

Eh, I have used that saying for years and truly believe it in my situation. Here's the difference, I married a woman who would never take advantage of it. She knows full well I would buy her whatever she wanted, she doesn't ever push it. Quite the opposite, actually. I, often, have to coax her...
  16. My First ever Truck, going to document the Journey

I have done it a couple times but PenFed handled the DMV, I just had to get it smogged. Latest truck I used a local-ish credit union and they did not allow out of state purchases and since there wasn't really any savings I just went through Autonation Tustin and bought (somewhat) local.
  17. My First ever Truck, going to document the Journey

Depends. If the truck is 50 state compliant from the start that doesn't apply.

  19. Why Does It Seem Like Alot of Ram Owners Trade For Rangers?

I leased a 2017 Tundra Limited TRD Off Road. Sold the lease off 2 years early and paid about $800 to get out of it. That's how much I liked it
