Yep, the cheapest (and of course it ain’t that cheep, but it’s all relative) thing you can do for ANY engine.

Use a quality synthetic and change it more often than you “think” and certainly more often than some “intelligent” computer says.

Too often of a change won’t cause problems or void your warranty, but not often enough just might.

Last 2 changes were Amsoil OE, latest is XL Boosted. Feels “thicker” than the OE but I swear the temp gauge runs one notch lower.
I dumped the Motorcraft Synthetic Blend at 880 miles. I was thinking on putting that back in next change just for kicks to see how it feels on a full 4000 mile run (longest I’ll go on any oil).

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and Motorcraft filter. Been using this combo for years on various Fords in my family and never had an issue related to lubrication or lack of?.

I’m using the Signature Series at 9,000 mile intervals with Amsoils Ea15k51 filter. With an oil analysis done. Because of the turbo that’s a safe time to do an oil change with out worry.

I tried a few different oils and it seems to be quieter with Valvoline synthetic.
Switched to a Motorcraft FL-400S filter, it fits fine and is bigger than the Dixie Cup size FL-910S.
Change oil and filter ever 5000 miles.

I bought the truck used. Dealer owned, dealer serviced, so their history is whatever Smithtown Ford used. I'll be using Pennzoil Platinum and a Motorcraft FL-2123 filter. I'll change the diff fluid as well.
