  1. Comparability of motorcraft and valvoline ULV

Lol, your last post to me was about how Amsoil didn’t meet the Euro specs and something else, can’t remember. Lol. I posted the that it wasn’t in fact did meet the specs etc, and then you went silent. I am interested to see some more reasons why you think it’s “Scamoil”. Again, friendly...
  2. Comparability of motorcraft and valvoline ULV

I totally hear ya. That’s when the chemistry comes in to play with film strength, heat etc. I do know that majority of the “Full Synthetic” oils are a group 3 base oil. The API only needs the minimum amount of Synthetic additives to legally call it a “Full Synthetic “. No to much cost to from...
  3. Comparability of motorcraft and valvoline ULV

It’s been in the truck since 2019. I did actually notice a bit smoother shifting. Didn’t totally get rid of the rough shifting altogether, but an improvement. This summer will be my 3 oil change in the tranny which I will use the new stuff and see what happens. This pic is from the ATL . Amsoil...
  4. Comparability of motorcraft and valvoline ULV

Amsoil’s Fuel Efficient ATF is spec’d for the ULV( Ultra Low Viscosity) and now they have the ULV specific packaging. I think people just wanted to see it on the label of the bottle/bag. The Fuel Efficient ATF didn’t have it on the packaging, but if one went on line for the specific product it...
  5. Comparability of motorcraft and valvoline ULV

When I switched mine over to Amsoil, I did a fill of Amsoils OE line and ran it for a couple thousand km, to mix whatever was in the Torque Converter with it. Dumped it and refilled it with the Signature Series. Did that to just flush the old stuff out. You can mix whichever oil you want. The...
  6. The Big Oil Brand Judgement!!

Weird. My first oil analysis I did was at 10,000km and no change in viscosity, dirt and wear was normal. Second one I did was at 15,280km. Dirt and wear was still normal, but I did have a little fuel dilution which was the cause of a slight viscosity change . If no fuel dilution the viscosity...
  7. The Big Oil Brand Judgement!!

You might want to check your facts again. Amsoil does meet the ACEA specs. Amsoil is API approved which is a pay us and we’ll stamp it money grab. You can pick Amsoil up for under $10 a quart. Mercedes will not use a product that doesn’t meet the specs or be warranty approved or even allow it...
  8. The Big Oil Brand Judgement!!

Mercedes in Ontario buys it by the skid load. I ask this genuinely, what is it about Amsoil that you find is a scam?
  9. The Big Oil Brand Judgement!!

Disregard, my attachment didn’t attach. Lol
  10. The Big Oil Brand Judgement!!

Signature Series can be bought for cheaper. Typical retail stores with inflated prices. Signature Series is rated for 25,000 miles on non turbo vehicles. Also don’t let the label on brands that say full synthetic fool you. The API only requires the minimum synthetic additives to the base oil to...
  11. Unbelievable High Price for Oil Change

All good, I know what you meant. Amsoil does offer a warranty with an oil analysis provided should anything happen. Just in general over the years I’ve spoken with guys that have blamed oil for there engine damage. I asked them what the results of the oil analysis was. They said one wasn’t done...
  12. Unbelievable High Price for Oil Change

It’s not I think it’s good oil, it is good oil. Lol. Nobody said you had to do 10k-12k between oil changes . That’s just my choice and it works well for me with no damage being done along with other maintenance done.
  13. Unbelievable High Price for Oil Change

It’s because we buy expensive trucks but want to maintain them the cheapest way. I have had customers with $150k cars asking for quotes and they say the same thing.” Oh that’s to expensive “. I think to myself, you drop $150k on a car , but you’re going to cheap out oil. Lol. I use the Sig...
  14. Unbelievable High Price for Oil Change

Totally. Less then $100 for Amsoil and filter. XL maybe $120.00
  15. 2019 Brakes 65,000 miles Front are 8mm. Rears are 3 mm.

I always replace the rotors and pads together. 104k km on the truck now . Haven’t needed to do the fronts yet and rears were done about 6 months ago

  18. EGR DPFE Sensor Assembly Replacement Write-Up (LB5Z-9J433-B)

Mine is still the original from new. I’ve had about 9 notifications on the same thing . Next day check engine light is off. My buddy is a mechanic at one of the local Ford Dealerships near me and remotely ran a scan for the truck. The code came back as “ Hose is off or plugged. Wonder if it...
