Do yall have the turbo engine? Ours has the N/A engine and I'm still impressed. For fun I checked the fuel mileage and even after a spirited 50 mile drive (gotta have fun with the first free tank of fuel) it still averaged 30 mpg

It's extremely nice, this one is a 2020 touring model so its got all the bells and whistles, when I hit the go pedal it doesn't disappoint.

Drove Shelly to pick up the wifes new to us suv. After kia replaced the engine on our optima, the brand new engine started using 3 quarts of oil per hundred miles. So it got traded in on a Mazda cx5

When I threaded it back in it felt like it had a stop but I also was in a bad mood after fighting the old filter and didn't want to make it worse

The threaded bit that the physical oil filter screws on too. My googlefu says it's not a big deal. This is the best picture of it I can find

Botched an oil change. 1st I got my butt kicked trying to get the filter off, then I double gasketed the new filter and made a tremendous mess.

I also don't know if I should be concerned, a piece of the oil filter housing came out with the old filter. I just threaded it back in and put the new oil filter on. At next oil change, I'll remove that double sided threaded piece out and loc tite it in

I'll grab some brake clean and give it a shot. There's even oil droplets on the engine cover, at least I know I won't have to worry about rust

So I accidentally double gasketed the oil filter while changing the oil on Shelly today, I got it shut off in time so no engine damage, what's the best way to clean all the excess oil that coated the bottom of the engine? I wiped it down as best I could but I'm sure there's still a bunch I...
