2019 Ranger SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 FX4 in Lightning Blue with almost all the bells and whistles.

Sticker $46,430
Dealer Discount -$4,430
Trade in Assist -$1,000
Retail Customer Cash -$2,250
Private Cash Offer -$1,250

For a sale price of $37,500

Would liked to have gotten to $37,000 but they did better than expected on my trade (by about $1500) so I am happy with the deal.

Are you in Seattle area? If so I'm curious what your experience was at the different dealers. I'm planning to buy a Ranger or a Tacoma near the start of ski season.

Yes, Marysville. This is my 7th Ford over the years so somewhat familiar with the dealers.

My preference in order...

Bickford- sold me my Mustang
Marysville- sold me my F150 and Escape
Kirkland- no sales to me, but good pricing
Harris- sold me the Ranger and previously an F150 and Taurus
Pierre-- sold me an Expedition long ago

I bought at Harris (Lynnwood) this time, only went to two dealers - Bickford where I test drove and Harris because they had the color I wanted in stock, Bickford did not.

Also, Bickford is closed on Sunday’s and that was the day I had to work with. Harris couldn’t quite meet Bickford’s $5K dealer discount AND Harris had just dropped their $5K dealer markup. I did leverage Bickford against them and since Harris had the color/options I wanted it worked out.

If you know the market and who is offering what and be firm you should be ok.

I NEVER play the “negotiate a payment” game. Harris did try that.

If Bickford had the truck Harris did, I would have bought from them hands down

Thanks for the detailed response! Good call on only negotiating on final price out the door. Easy way to get ripped off!

I am looking for a ranger in WA for the bigger discount. I am confused on how the rebate should be applied for out of state sales. One dealer said i can't use the local rebate but the rebate from my zip code. Then the other dealer said i can use the local one. Does anyone know the right answer? I also receive the fees as below: doc fee 150, title fee 9, admin 2.5 and license fee 600. What is license fee? Are the fees normal?

Lariat 4x2 500A with Tech Package

MSRP $36,375
Dealer Discount $3,875
Ford Incentives: $2,500
Private Offer: $1,250
Total Discount: $7,625
Final Price: $28,750

But, it was really about a $6.5K discount when dealer fees and trade value are considered.

Don't think I got that great of a deal. MSRP was $45,590 for a fully loaded lariat. X plan was $43850, had $3000 in rebates, so i paid $40,850. Probably should have tried without the X plan and did some old fashion haggling. :frown:

I don't see how some of these guys are getting $8-9k off sticker on a loaded Ranger! When I run the x-plan price, I see less than $2000 off list, more like $1700 off a loaded Lariat I'm spec'ing out, $44k, and ...Plus the rebates are all over the lot, sometimes I only see $1000, + $500 and some are saying $2-3,000.

How do some of these deals happen, saying "dealer discount"' of $4000? And then rebates of almost another $4000? Is this factual or not?
Thanks, I'm going to seriously look soon, as I think the deals may be getting better.

Also I better hurry as I see the Hot Pepper Red is going away, not a fan of Race Red and I don't know what that other red looks like, ,maroon?

You have to take into account the location of these deals as they're based on which market you're in. When I was looking back in July I was seeing $6K-$8K off between dealer incentives and rebates but here in AZ they were lower. My sticker was $44,875.00 and I ended up OTD at $39,100.00 along with 0% for 60 month. You might find better deals soon as they will start production of the 2020's soon and dealers will want to get rid of their remaining 2019 inventory. Good luck!
