I thought I’d start a thread on what kind of discount people are able to get and where they’re getting them at.

For instance if you’re able to get 5% off MSRP at dealer x then please tell us about it.

I know some people may be eligible for X plan pricing or similar so let us know about that as well!

Also, did you order the truck or pick one off the lot?

$200 over invoice plus $750 preorder rebate. Also have the $500 Farm Bureau discount, but it is iffy/doubtful that I can use it with the preorder rebate. But I'll try.

Kansas Farm Bureau offers a $500 rebate on "eligible" Ford vehicles for its members. I have not confirmed that the Ranger is eligible but I have to think it is since it is the type of vehicle you would use on a farm. Membership is $50/yr so it would be a net $450 rebate.

Mine is on order.

MSRP: $38,265
Costco: $36,828
Xplan: $36,763
Still checking for lower price, but probably going with X-Plan. Also have the $750 pre-order incentive verified with my dealer.

MSRP: $34,605
Ford X Plan: $33,396 (-$1,209)
Invoice: $33,201 (-$1,404)

I also have the $750 pre-order incentive. Total price before taxes and fees should be $32,646 (-$1,959), way below invoice.

Given what I am now hearing about dealers adding on premiums i think my dealer treated me well by giving me Fords $750. plus an additional $1000. However, that was the third week in Oct and and I was his first order. He ordered as stock as I do not believe he knew about the pre ordering system. I have yet to be given an ETA.

The first truck I saw here in Portland (at Landmark Ford) they added $999.00 as extra markup. So it seems that asking over MSRP is relatively common. I have a feeling that will change after they start appearing in numbers - I think it is only now while they are still kind of uncommon that dealers think they can charge a premium.

MSRP - $43,855
Invoice - $42,062
X-Plan - $42,222
A-Plan - $40,577

I doubt they will let me stack anything on A-Plan, I am eligible for Farm Bureau, College and Pre-Order discounts. I will see what they let me use, if any.

The $750 preorder incentive specifically states it cannot be used with A-Plan. I doubt the FB discount would be usable but you might still get the college one. Wish I had A-Plan eligibility.
