You're going to have a rude awakening if you think this truck is Barrett Jackson worthy.

I've worked hard my whole life so I don't have to skimp and I appreciate certain luxuries in my life. That's the beauty of life, different strokes for different folks. If you're happy with a base model that's all that matters.
“They can be” keywords there lol

Personally, my truck is an investment. It’s an investment in my happiness, contentment, enjoyability doing the things I want, and more important than any of that - an investment in my family’s safety and their comfort. I happily paid 40k for the exact same truck and did it twice in three weeks.

I purchased a SuperCrew Lariat FX4 on 8/9 in Kirkland, WA. MSRP was ~ 45,500.

$5500 dealer discount
$2250 retail cash
$1250 private cash
$1000 trade-in rebate.

The dealer discount was advertised on their website and I didn't negotiate on the purchase price. The issue I ran into was that because the dealers in my area have these large dealer discounts, they aren't very competitive on the trade-in offers. I spent a week negotiating the trade-in between three dealers. On 8/9, Ford released a new $1000 trade-in rebate. I was able to convince the dealer to come up a little bit more on their offer, and along with the rebate, that got me to the minimum amount I was willing to accept.

In Hawaii we have what we call a "paradise tax", meaning a dealer market adjustment usually ranging from 2 through 6 thousand dollar. My car had an MSRP of $38,765, including market adjustment and some dealer installed option, the total was $43,950. As dealers give you a really hard time here when it comes to the paradise tax (they know they have monopoly positions, you can purchase on the mainland US but shipping, taxes and whatnot will make you lose your benefit), and I absolutely hate haggling or dealing with dealerships in general, we figured to give the Costco car program a chance, The price we got it for was 100 over invoice, or slightly under $36,800. I know others get far better deals, but for Hawaii, $5,350 off the total ain't bad at all (especially since we didn't have to haggle or anything, it was the best experience I've ever had when it came down to talking price)

Here’s what l paid, they didn't discount the truck all that much. So gave me almost $8500 for a 2004 Expedition 2wd with 180k on it to make the deal work. Think l got a pretty decent deal.

With the trade in allowance I got just over $6000 off MSRP from Corwin Ford. Great dealership in SW Idaho if anyone is interested. I searched from the Oregon coast to Eastern Idaho for the perfect color, options and price. Only one other dealer could come close to their pricing and it was in eastern Oregon. I don't haggle and have no patience to wait so I just find the price I want and get the deal done. I had to put in a few miles to get it but was worth it to me.

My dealer made me wait until Thursday to pick it up, when Labor Day rebates kicked in. I do realize of course, they did NOT discount out of their pocket, but still a good deal. I received these discounts:
$1,980 from X-plan
$2,000 X-plan rebate
$500 Ford Customer Cash
$500 Ford Retail Cash
$1,250 Ford Private Cash

The dealer offered a decent price at 5k under msrp, which is how they got me to come in. Other dealers around didn't do that.

I had extended warranty still on my trade so I was ready to walk if needed, so I haggled. They lowballed my trade but ended up coming up 4k, and down another 1k on the Ranger. It took several hours and they will not just give you a lower price because you ask but it's worth the effort. I literally saved 5k for knowing the trade value ranges and for holding out to walk out. Just know the range on either going in you dont have to say how or why.

Ended up getting almost half my money back on my 5.5 year old trade and the 45.5k Ranger for 6k off. Breakdown was around 2750 rebates the rest discounted.

On my last vehicle and my wife's Mazda we didn't haggle and basically paid asking with minor discounts. I wonder what the Ranger competition is like, do people pay full price for Tacoma, Colorado, etc?

Took delivery at the end of August on a Lariat 4x4 SuperCrew (5’ bed) with 501A, Black Appearance, Tow, and Off-road packages. I’m in Northern Virginia.

MSRP (incl. $1,195 dest.) $45,435

Base Price: $38,565
Options: $5,675
Destination: $1,195
Dealer discount: ($4,383)
Negotiated discount: ($1,780)
Rebate (Bonus cash): ($1,000)
Rebate (Trade-in): ($2,000)
—————————————————
Price: $36,272
VA Taxes: $1,762
VA Tags: $67.50
Dealer Processing: $698
—————————————————
Out the door: $38,800

$0 down, 0% financing for 60 months

Got up sold on a 6 year, 75k $0 deductible maintenance plan BUT it included a free extended warranty ($200 deductible) for the same miles / time period and I got $250 off for being a Costco member. This cost is on top of the $38,800 out the door price above.

2019 Ranger SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 FX4 in Lightning Blue with almost all the bells and whistles.

Sticker $46,430
Dealer Discount -$4,430
Trade in Assist -$1,000
Retail Customer Cash -$2,250
Private Cash Offer -$1,250

For a sale price of $37,500

Would liked to have gotten to $37,000 but they did better than expected on my trade (by about $1500) so I am happy with the deal.
