Got back from our break in trip with the new travel trailer...
29 footer / 24 foot box, weighs in at around 6500 lbs with tongue weight of around 675 or so. Will try to get it properly weighed in next few weeks.
The Ranger did a great job towing on I-64 west into W.V. and up US 19 to New River Gorge area.
Averaged around 10 1/2 mpg...lots of up n down grades on I-64.
Truck handled weight exceptionally well, and maintaining speed of 65 was no problem at all....had plenty in reserve to pass if needed. Rear felt a bit "squirrely" at times but I'm going to up-grade the rear shocks and order a Roadmaster Active Suspension set up which should take care of it.

I loose about 2" in the rear on our Tremor with about a 450-480lb trailer tongue not including the weight of our Equalizer WDH which is probably another 60lbs or so? I already had gear in the bed, probably 250lbs worth so the 2" loss was just from putting the trailer on it.

Just typing this has I thought about your question.
We are towing a Black Series HQ15 (6K overall, about 700lbs tongue) and have had good success getting back to "level" with the following setup: 1) Icon Stage 2 on 33's; Air Lift 5000 on rear with just a schrader valve on the back bumper; Equal-i-zer WDH. When we are not towing we run the airbags at 0 (internal bump stops). When we are towing on the road the WDH does most of the work and transfers a couple hundred pounds fore and aft off of the rear, plus about 20lbs in the airbags. When we are off-road we remove the WDH bars and run 40-50 lbs in the airbags. The airbags are setup "free" on the bottom to allow for full articulation of the stock springs. After 20K+ miles I just went through everything and it is holding up well - upgraded brakes on the trailer (Hydrastar) and have Z36 brakes/pads on order for the truck, but otherwise all good.

Check your AirLift instructions about running the bags with no air.
On our previous class c rv, and prior to that an F-350 that had bags for towing, the instructions always advised to run a minimum of 10 psi so the bag rubber would not "chafe" with rubber to rubber contact.
It might cause abrasion that would lead to leaks.

Thanks, I was just sharing what it does without the WDH bars connected. Once everything is setup, my front end is only 0.5" higher. Stock Tremor suspension with 1" front lift spacer. Close enough for me to avoid using air bags and such. I have 285/70/17 (~33") on the truck too.

Front/rear 38.75"/38.25"

Appreciate the response ?

Thanks @Grumpaw - I got the "Ultimate" with internal "jounce bumper" and their site says zero OK. Still, we are almost always towing....but I'll probably leave a bit of pressure going forward just in case (we tend to get "adventurous" when not towing, so any margin of safety is a good thing).

What’s up everyone! This weigh safe app has really helped me during my travel trailer shopping & I’m soon thinking of pulling the trigger on the r-pod 202 around 25ft total ??????

Knew it was coming, but 'spot' my 2003 Accord V6 that the wife uses as a back and forth to work beater finally puked the 2nd transmission at 270k. Not surprised, the 3 shaft transmissions usually don't last much more than 100-150k regardless of how well you maintain them. So it is off to get a rebuild and instead of taking the chance and scattering parts all through the case and driving it, I rented the uhaul trailer to take it to my rebuilder. The car looks like hell, but the J30A4 is a sweet powerplant and still runs like it did 200k ago, uses no oil and no other problems.

According to UHaul - 2210 pounds for the trailer and ~3300 for the car. The Uhaul trailers are pretty heavy on the tongue, but no big deal, pulled it just fine of course.

Thanks again for the input. Set my Andersen WD hitch up so empty my ball height was 2 1/8” higher than level trailer hitch height. For going blind to pick it up it’s pretty much spot on.

Yes sir :) my favorite track that's closest to me
I ran SCCA in the SF Region for a lot of seasons. I got down to a Cal Club event occasionally, but only once at Buttonwillow. We all who came down that weekend had a grand time, a fun track. I ran Willow Springs more just because CC usually had an early spring event before anything was shaking up north (and it wasn't scorching hot yet up there).

You probably shop where one of the all time great tracks was located. I never ran Riverside, one of my big regrets in my racing days. I have a good friend who ran Riverside as his home track and got drunk with Mark Donohue more than once. The Golden Age of Road Racing that. :)

Awesome to hear, nice looking trailer! 19BHLE? I like their 240BHLE but worry it would be too much for the Ranger. Wish dealers would let us test drive the trailers before buying them. We have a Geo Pro 19BH that gets the job done but on the bad weather days we wish we had the slide.

Yes it’s a 19BHLE. Slide is huge and makes all the difference as far as room. Huge window is great also. This will be our first full season pulling it. Pulled it with our Honda Passport for a couple of trips last season . It “worked” but ?
