It's a 50hp. Does 30mph with the wind at my back.
Great rig. I had a 12' Lowe with a 5hp Merc 2 stroke that I put in the bed of the F350 when we went camping. Also on occasion launched it in the pond behind my house in the neighborhood I used to live in which wasn't a "boating" lake. Pissed the neighbors off. I've since grown up a bitish.:rockon:

I have a used once Fleetwood Off Road tent trailer. Sweet. I towed it with my 1999 Toyota Tacoma V6 2WD extra cab once. I can't wait to use my Ranger. The trailer is set up for off the grid with Solar panels, two propane tanks. It's a very nice one.
I have a few mods to my truck now. Borla exhaust, Nerf Bars, Bilstein 5100 suspension, Bug deflector, tinted windows with more to come.

My buddy and I started out with boats that would fit in the bed of a truck and then moved up to bigger, trailerable boats. We would hit the small ponds where people rarely saw boats on the water and it would really piss off the residents. They would yell out that they were calling the cops but they would never show. I think the cops were on our side most of the time.

I started fishing, where I grew up in N Louisiana, about 70 years ago. The norm was to knock on the door and ask....."Be OK if I drown a worm or two in your pond? If I catch any, I'll drop a couple off." Times have changed and if they don't know you, your'e likely to meet Mr Shotgun. Wife and I have a private lake (that belongs to a friend, and is never fished) that we are allowed to fish in. Use a little bass buggy that stays there and catch and release. Have caught as many as 75 in a morning with 6 being 5lbs or more. Or just take the Ranger and run down to the river.

I just thought a fair bit more motor would push it a lot faster. Is that a shallow V or a flat bottom?

I'm just towing a 550# all aluminum trailer w/electric brakes and on that I put my 2014 Harley Davidson Tri Glide.

After 24 surgeries, including two total knee replacements and all Lumbar discs "bulging", I find it loads more fun to drag the trike to areas I want to explore, than explore them on the trike. The ranger lariat is very comfortable. ?

It felt weird pulling the camper out, putting it back together, and packing it up today. Not only because it's February and winter, but because it only got up to -8F today. That was the high temp. Started the day at -28F. But luckily we're hitting the road for warmer places. Even though those places may only end up being in the 40s or 50s, that's still 50-60deg warmer than it has been here all week during the day (it hasn't gotten above 0F in over 7 days). Anyways, it's going to be sad to see the clean, shiny, and waxed camper get all dirty and salty. But such is life. haha
