I get 10.9 or so with my trailer on. Premium or 87 it’s the same. I start looking for a gas station I can fit in at just under half tank just in case.
It depends on how fast you are going and the weight of towing. I have #4900 trailer and got 14.1 @ 55 mph and 10.7 @ 70 mph. I was using premium gas.

I realize that it’s a function of speeds, this is my average with hardly ever going over 65.

So I went and picked up this trailer yesterday to tow to the Jersey shore. A 2017 Jayco 287BHSW. The trailer weighs about 6500lbs in this picture and is 33 ft long. Granted New Jersey is pretty flat but the truck had the muscle to pull the trailer. The biggest issue is the wind from other vehicles flying by at 85 mph. I tried to keep to 60mph so I didn't get blown around to much. We got our camper in place and then poof tropical storm outa nowhere.

I would start researching the Hensley Hitch if I were you. Getting blown around by cars passing you is really dangerous. I have owned a number of travel trailers. If I was looking to buy a 33' long trailer, I would have purchased a 3/4-ton truck and a 5th wheel.

Just picked up my trailer this past weekend. We towed it to Tahoe this weekend and the ranger did amazingly well towing. I was impressed with how it performed. Going up the steepest grade (80 mile one way trip from 300’ to 8700’) the ranger had no problem maintaining 65 mph with power to spare! I was able to pass other trucks and trailers going up the same grade with ease.

This trailer is a 21’ keystone single axle and weights about 4300lbs fully loaded. I have a 2 1/2” leveling kit on my ranger and the squat is not bad. I may add air bags to help level the truck back out under load and to absorb some of the bounce when driving on the highway.

On our way back home, the engine Brake feature in tow mode did an excellent job maintaining a comfortable controlled speed while going down grades without having to ride the brakes. Super impressed. (Note: I am running a tune)

Nice looking truck you got there! ;)

Just bought a Rockwood Mini Lite 2104S and we towed it up the 101 along the oregon coast, over to Portland and back down to the bay Area via primarily I5. The ranger handled superbly! Weighed at the way station and the trailer clocked in at 5300. I was hauling 3 teenage boys, myself and my wife. Plenty of power. Gas mileage was around 9.5.

How's the Ranger pull the Tracker and how do you like the Tracker? I've been looking at the Ranger VX Series (which looks like a very similar hull to the Targas), hoping it's not too much boat for the truck (or my garage, ha).
Sorry I havent been on the site in a while, however I love the Tracker Targa. It handles 3' lake Erie waves with ease and the truck pulls it with no issues other than the mileage sucks while towing it. Did you end up going with the VX?

Just towed a Buick LeSabre with a towing dolly for 160 miles. About 4,400 lbs combined. Plenty of power, but I wouldn't tow anything heavier without having trailer brakes. The trans downshifting on its own to assist in braking works great. This is a great truck. My 5th Ranger.

Something I just picked up this weekend! A lot of people where giving me a hard time cause I got rid of my F150 and bought this Ranger then decided to tow for my first time ever lol
But this handled it with such ease. Doing over 80 uphills was not even an issue

Awesome! I don't think doing over 80 mph while towing a trailer is something you want to be doing though.

Depends on the trailer. Our camper for instance has car sized off-road tires (not the punny trailer tires), brakes, is small and aerodynamic, and weighs less than 2000 pounds, so I wouldn't have any concern going fast with that thing in normal conditions. Though I don't like really going above 80 anyways, but that's for personal reasons. In the end, it comes down to personal ability/preference and road conditions.
