  1. 10R80....Are they all ticking time bombs?

First tranny fluid change. I do all the work on the truck myself, but I'm not equipped for a back flush. My trans has had it's occasional quirks from Day One, but it's never changed or worsened. I've towed cars with car dollies, pulled trailers, ripped some pretty good-size bushes out of the...
  2. 10R80....Are they all ticking time bombs?

I've had my truck since the beginning of January 2019. First truck pics posted on the forum. Getting close to Ford's recommended tranny fluid change at 150k, so just had a back flush/refill done three days ago at Lakeland Ford. Truck has 137k and it runs like a champ. She's no grocery getter...

I put $76 of 87 octane gas in my 2019 Ranger.
  4. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Never. Book says 150k, so I'll change it this year along with diffs, transfer case, radiator flush 'n fill, etc... Same trans fluid since I drove it off the lot on 1/2/2019.
  5. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Thanks. She's been a good one. This is my fifth Ranger too. '89, '92, '97, '95, and this 2019. I had F250s and an F450 for work trucks in the past, but I like the Rangers for a personal truck. You can drive them in your yard without putting ruts all over, and they're not a nightmare to park. The...
  6. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Parked next to the beach on Lake Erie with 6+ year old 120k mile transmission fluid in my 10R80. ?
  7. 110K+ miles and ZERO issues

Just turned 120k on odometer and runs like new. Still on second set of tires, replaced brake pads and turned rotors all around, replaced serpentine belt/tensioner/spark plugs @ 100k, new Duralast AGM USA battery, and two sets of wipers. Mobil 1 full syn oil changes every 8k to 10k, and made sure...
  8. The PIC whore club! Come on in!

That looks like a nice way to get healed up. Wish you the best.
  9. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

4wd and diff locked. Straight to the top. Well, pretty straight. lol Saw somebody tried earlier and made it half way, so I couldn't resist. Those tracks to the top are Ranger tracks. ?
  10. How long for the Ranger smile to fade?

Six years old, 115k miles, and still smiling. Finally replaced front pads and turned rotors (on my neighbor's brake lathe) at 114k. Did rear brakes about 30k miles ago. Strange. Had fronts off twice previously, but only cleaned everything up and put back together. Rotor pic is fresh off lathe...
  11. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Parked next to the Ranger's Ranger in my Ranger at The West Woods in Novelty, OH (which is home to the smallest US Post Office I've ever been to).
  12. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

My Mom gave me a lot of good advice growing up. She always reminded me that "You are known by the company that you keep." What a wise lady. Still applies today.
  13. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

I just put some in my coffee, LaBalbe. Stuff is delicious. Infused with chilies. Just put it on everything. lol

McConnells Mill State Park NNW of Pittsburgh, PA.
  18. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Hauled a few shingles for the pole barn. 2,200 lbs. 40 psi in rear tires, 32 up front. Up hills, RR tracks... piece of cake. Not going to do that in a Honda. I've hauled more. Heaviest gross was 7,200 lbs. That was a load. ? see: Carolina Squat
  19. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Did the same thing a couple years ago the day I retired. Still pulling hard too. Pretty amazing for a 4 banger.
  20. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Next to the Atlantic Ocean on the 3 1/2 mile Crescent Beach access. 4WD and rear diff locked. Couple trucks got stuck earlier. Deep, soft sand over some pretty long stretches. Beautiful views. What a blast!!
