Rumors abound you can use TM without changing the TM knob. Mines on back order so I was wondering if it's true?
Can you just engage the modes they the dash menu?

I haven't heard that rumour, but there's something to the opposite effect:
If you install the TM knob, you don't actually need to do the FORScan bit to use it. The TM button works without that, but you can't tell what mode you're in!

Been waiting to do this. Waiting to struggle off -road before I test out the TM. Also, lazy to flash to stock and flash back fp tune after forscan mods. User bricked his vehicle using forscan on fp tune.

It’s been said you can’t brick you truck with forscan because you can’t make Ecu changes with it? But I’m still learning.

Oh you definitely can. Many users have bricked their vehicles with Forscan, that’s the importance of the backup file. I feel you on the learning part, it’s a lot to understand. All I know is FP tune + forscan is no bueno. I mean it’s not terrible to flash to stock and flash back after the forscan mods but just an extra step.

I don't know about a way to use TM without the switch, but I did the switch and the the forscan edit. Works great. My only issue is that I still tend to default to sport mode and no traction control when in 4H no matter what, haha.

So does that mean if I am running the FP fine already then all I have to do is flash back to stock to run Forscan? Will all the adjustments made on Forscan roll over once I re-install the FP tune?

or is it just a bad idea to try and mix the 2..

flash back to stock to run forscan and flash back to tune. but thats just a guess, I just know someone bricked it is all when they tried to do it on FP tune. I am sure you can find somebody that is on fp tune and has done forscan changes to ask, but not sure who.

I've made mods with forscan with my Livernois tune installed but no changes to the engine module, just the body module. Nothing major just the screen changed an turned off fake engine noise.

I though I read on here you can run the terrain management with just the switch an no change with forscan. Forscan just enables the display to show what mode you're using.
