In general you will be ok. A backspacing of 5.75 on a 17x9 would be a +18 offset. Since you are sticking out a little more you should be fine

Having read through this thread, I feel like I want to suggest that while gear is great and certainly fun, don't count out the benefits of skill building. Since you're in New York, consider signing up for a class at Northeast Offroad Adventure. It's a school in Ellenville on 68 acres of mountain. Northeast Offroad I got a lot out of it including a bunch of new friends.

Just to update, I've been back in the same spot a few times and have dragged ass through this same spot but haven't had the same issue again. I've got skids now and am waiting on sliders to arrive. All of you have been very helpful, thank you.
