That's intriguing. What software do you use for design?
I use Autodesk Alias Autostudio...same program that I use for my day job...

I learned a lot creating this part...one, it would be infinitely easier with a scanner...quality units isn't within reach yet...the ones we use at work are hundred grand...two, dead reckoning with calipers/rulers takes a lot of patience and prototyping lol...I think this completes this little project...fit's well and the camera is now solidly aimed...

Well for crying out loud...I see there's a Mother's day thread but I'm still deemed too dangerous to play with others @AzScorpion... :rolleyes:

Happy Mother's Day to my special ladies today...I printed them a few precious, tedious and fragile gifts...the flying turtle is the most challenging piece to date but worth the time and effort...

WOW!!!

What, No lights? :shock::cool:

As far as the first comment I don't have the capability to restrict or un-restrict members from certain areas. That comes from the higher power so not sure why the rolling eyes at me?

Second fresh set of plugs installed...1st at 50K, second at 90K...

FYI...OEM SP578 CYFS12YPT has been superseded by SP594 CYFS12YRT3...

Looks like the same condition as the first replacement...normal wear...

I actually have a set of SSC1s coming for my rebel to mount largely in the same way..I haven't decided where I'm going to mount (forks or frame) and how I'm going to wire them in, but that's the plan.

I mounted mine to an after market crash bars...the wide beam puts out more light than my Honda's headlamp...

That's my plan. The low beam on mine is ok, but the high beam is way better and I know these SSC1s will be a fantastic addition.

As I mentioned previously, my perfect 5G has started to develope a bit of a hic up during low idle crawl...beyond just letting idle pull the truck forward (creeping around in parking lot), any small amount of gas would cause it to flat spot/hesitate causing lurching movements...she idles fine and accelerated normally, meaning strong for 90K...the symtoms started slowly and very benign...then gradually, became more pronounced and consistant...always the same condition at creeping speed 0-5mph...

I had my Ford tech look deep through his expensive scan tool and absolutely nothing came up...my truck is in perfect health :confused: He suggests that I clean the throttle body...not what I had in mind in this 100F tearing up the plumbing to get to the part...sooo here's my hack...

IMG_7943.JPG

This'll do the trick but I didn't want to disassemble my charge pipes so I removed the sensor in front of the TB and stuck the spray tube down...spraying down kinda works but I needed a way for the fluid to face the TB plate...I heated and sealed the end, drilled several small holes so the spray would now be 90 degrees facing the TB...YES!
