As I mentioned previously, my perfect 5G has started to develope a bit of a hic up during low idle crawl...beyond just letting idle pull the truck forward (creeping around in parking lot), any small amount of gas would cause it to flat spot/hesitate causing lurching movements...she idles fine and accelerated normally, meaning strong for 90K...the symtoms started slowly and very benign...then gradually, became more pronounced and consistant...always the same condition at creeping speed 0-5mph...

I had my Ford tech look deep through his expensive scan tool and absolutely nothing came up...my truck is in perfect health  He suggests that I clean the throttle body...not what I had in mind in this 100F tearing up the plumbing to get to the part...sooo here's my hack...

This'll do the trick but I didn't want to disassemble my charge pipes so I removed the sensor in front of the TB and stuck the spray tube down...spraying down kinda works but I needed a way for the fluid to face the TB plate...I heated and sealed the end, drilled several small holes so the spray would now be 90 degrees facing the TB...YES!

Did it work?

That's good to hear. When I read this, I suspected deposits on the intake valves. Been wondering how many miles on these Direct Injection engines before that becomes an issue. Are your MPG's same as always?

Man, I just love what some of you are doing with your 3D printers. Holy crap - I can’t even get my Epson to print on a different size of paper!

:D

Same...17-18 if I'm lucky...I should loose some gear weight with gas prices so high...

Sid, you have an outstanding build.
Read all 87 pages.
The best part is you did the installation of these items yourself.
Thank you for sharing and keeping updates coming.

Moving on without the deflector...could never get used to the shape of this particular AVS bug shield...too misshapen and looks melted...the way it's mount is sandwiched between the seal and hood increases the thickness requiring hard slam in order to latch properly...so I'm taking it off until a better one comes along...

They're custom Oracal red vinyl...hand fitted by trial/error templates...tricky but a couple of members have asked and done this too...it's a lot easier to have it painted if you don't want to go through the head ache...

Working on reopening the Keystone pipeline.... ?

Serious printing requires some serious ventilation...one piece at a time...this looks like PVC but it's actually 3" mailing tubes and printed connectors 1 mm thick...super light...PVC was way too heavy and the parts costed well north of $100...
