  1. 2020 FX4 Salvage Rebuild

Your intentions were good to bring this Ranger back to usefulness. Unfortunately every step of the way, things just didn't work as planned. Thank you for documenting the problems you encountered in this project. May it serve as a lesson and reminder to others that may attempt to do the same. I...
  2. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

Thanks for the forum site information. I joined and will keep an eye out for your postings about your beautiful new Colorado ZR2.
  3. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

Glad you made it back home with new ZR2. Looks even better in your garage. Good thing the track isn't any wider. She just fits between the shop floor area. Please keep us informed. Which Colorado forum will you be posting to?
  4. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

Life is good. Great looking truck. Even though this is a Ford Ranger forum, please let all of us know how this new truck works out for you and your needs. I'm sure your comments will be of interest. The ZR2, AT4X and upcoming Tacoma are on my list for next purchase. Enjoy your ZR2 to the fullest.
  5. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

Tell your sales person to put a sold sign on the dash and keep the ZR2 parked in the back lot. Then hide the keys from other sales staff so they can't let anyone into your truck.
  6. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

This is a difficult situation. In Kalifornia we don't get a sales tax break towards trading in on a new vehicle. No surprise there. When I sold my Tremor I was glad the dealership was happy to take it with the 5k worth of non factory additions. Yes, I could have removed every item and left next...
  7. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

Good job on locating, a soon to be available, ZR2 in your color of choice. By the time you have it outfitted the way you want the RR will be scheduled for production. Then with delays, you can have it in your driveway 18 months from today. Looking forward to hear about what develops in this...
  8. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

Well then, sounds like an easy choice. ZR2. I sold my Tremor in April. Liked it a lot but seemed a bit dated overall. Looking forward to hear which direction you decide to go. Please keep us posted.
  9. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

How would you be able to save 16k? ZR2 would be a great truck.
  10. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

Outstanding. The greatest satisfaction will be informing the original dealership you have secured an order from a, some what, local Ford retailer. Oh, at $4,500 ADM. Not the 5k you were will to give. Great job on your part. Enjoy that new RR.
  11. Tree Sap

Hi Pete, The key thing is to not let the sap dry and harden. You will find it easy to remove by using simple warm water and wash cloth. No need for chemicals.
  12. Choose Your Own Adventure Book: Buying a Raptor

I think you have the correct mindset trying to make a deal for the new 2024 Ranger Raptor. You set your goal, the dealer initially met that goal. Now comes the 2nd part. Getting them to honor what you were first told. Paying 5k over on a very limited availability vehicle is within reason. Is...
  13. WooHoo!! Today's Finally The Day!

That is very good mileage for a brand new Tremor. Plenty acceptable.
  14. WooHoo!! Today's Finally The Day!

New truck looks great Dave. Do be careful of the steps. They stick out and have a habit of leaving nasty marks on peoples shins. Have a safe and enjoyable drive home.
  15. WooHoo!! Today's Finally The Day!

Have a safe flight and drive back home Dave. Enjoy your new 2023 Tremor. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new truck.
  16. Merely A Flesh Wound

    Very resourceful.
  17. ***Update Pg. 26*** Think It'll Buff Out?

Glad you and the driver at fault were not injured in this accident. Sad end to your great looking truck. It did its job and kept you safe. You will enjoy your new Tremor. Great truck with a factory suspension that won't need any modifications.
  18. Ford Hammers Its Customers Again

Battery size varies for EV vehicles. Between 27-120 kW. Most are around 70kW. So lets say you let your 70kW battery pack get down to 20%, you would be adding 56 kW to be fully charged. $18.00. But miles per kW is what counts for how far you can drive your EV. I used to own a BMW i3 EV...
  19. Ford Hammers Its Customers Again

Where I live, The People's Republic of Kalifornia, with PG&E as supplier. Last bill paid .32549 cents per KW. I won't be buying an EV anytime soon.
  20. What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

Not a beer gut. It is a keg. Much stronger and robust.
