I don't understand why Ford doesn't see that the engine compartment is the jewelry box of a vehicle. (To quote a tv custom car builder) I mean their engines are UGLY.

Opening the hood is so 1990's that I have high school kids working at the local oil change do it for me every 5k miles.

Never intended on taking my Ranger to a car show and propping the hood up anyway.

Kudos to Ford for finding a way how to save a couple bucks for us.

Depends how you look at it. I'm the type that will walk into a dealership and say "Soooo. 2021 model doesn't offer an engine cover, how much you gonna take off since the 2020 model sitting over there for the past few months has one?"

I took mine off because mice liked to nest under it. No kidding. Now, no mice.

So all I have to do is remove the”Ranger” from the seats, remove some tie downs, remove the folding headrests and remove the engine cover and I have a 2021?

Not knowing this was going to be a "thing", I had ordered a cover on the 27th. Just picked it up this morning.

While I realize it will immediately depreciate in value, I intend to actually install it tomorrow.
