@Mishimoto, was that a completely bone stock truck? Sure looks like it.

If it was that means your gaining 12hp\14 Torque on a vanilla platform and I think we should expect more on trucks with complimentary parts\tuning with higher boost pressures.

Yes it was, we also plan on testing with a tune.

Thanks,

I can only speak for my simple build (so far) but with just an exhaust swap and tune, my truck has a lot of wheel-spinning power. This sort of thing is going to be a big and easy upgrade.

Is there a reason you want a new radiator? I thought it was more of a nice replacement item if anything were to happen to the OEM.

Reasons for a higher capacity radiator:
Hot weather operation
High elevation operation
Operation in Hot weather @ high elevation
Sustained high rpm operation
Towing
High HP. More air and more fuel make more power and absolutely produces more heat

I haven't heard of anyone overheating this platform yet.

Also if you end up having your truck loaded quite a bit and go Offroad then a more efficient radiator will help keep temperature down.

I hadn't seen they opened the presale for the rad already! Cool! - As for another reason to purchase one, they eliminate plastic end caps, millions of cars are on the road today with plastic end-cap radiators without a problem, but i'd just add that to the list of Pros above. Having a solid aluminum radiator from a good reputable brand like Mishimoto eliminates a failure point of plastic endcaps, which I personally loathe.

If I ever 'needed' to replace the radiator and IC I would absolutely pay to upgrade to these 'forever' parts for durability alone.
