I was pleasantly surprised how quick this is and it put a smile on my face the first time I nailed it going up the on ramp. I was expecting it to be gutless and kind of fall on its face but it was the opposite. While not Vette hp it's definitely not CheVette hp either. 😜
You know, Corvettes are like hemorrhoids, right? ;)

I thought about that but I'd really like to get a car. Comfort is getting higher on my priority list and I might just add the Camry and keep the Ranger. I'll need a truck for some upcoming things we're doing but overall my need for a truck is getting less and less.
remember its based on unibody and thus is like a car :) If you get the tow package it can still tow 4K

I have a problem sitting “down “ into a car and getting out. I do fine with the Ranger and the Maverick is between the two so no issues there. The hybrid Maverick gets great mileage and is comfortable. Toyota mileage is better so that should satisfy the Polish part 😂.

I have the same exact problem, and that would make me consider an SUV of some kind instead of a car.

I guess being short has its advantages. 😁 It's been really easy to get in and out of the Camry and even Annie who has bad knees hasn't had any problems. Now my Vette was different. You almost had to align yourself and fall into the seat because it was so low to the ground. Not much of a problem when I was in my 40's but now at 61 it would be a little more challenging. lol

By the time we get back home and I return the car I'll have put around 3,000 miles on it. Probably the best test drive you can do because we got to drive it on both highway and city for a good number of miles and also testing out all the features it has.

My wife wanted a truck bed instead of an SUV. The Maverick hybrid fit the bill. It’s peppy, comfortable and seems to have more interior room than the Ranger. We were early adopters and it had a few minor issues that have since been resolved in later models. They’re worth a look.

On a side note they’ve had significant price increases. We can sell this one for almost what we paid. That’s with 20k miles.

My folks have a 2017 hybrid Camry that has been bullet proof. I’ve read that Toyota’s hybrid are their most reliable vehicles. The eCVT transmission in the Camry is also supposed to be very reliable. The eCVT behavior is fine for everyday driving, but if the engine is under strain, such as in the mountains or have to get on the gas for any reason, they can be quite loud. All considered though, it’s a great vehicle if you’re looking for a sedan.

the main reason I passed on buying a Crown Signia - when you needed decent acceleration the noise level was significant, the other source of noise was from 21" low profile 45 tires, just too much noise for a $50k yota.

Honda uses an "Atkinson cycle engine" which i had never herd of and sounds like its for a motorcycle 🏍, evidently, it runs like crap and no power on purpose because all its for is to charge the battery, BUT , it somehow clutches in when need be or around 70 mph I think 🤔?
And I understand for safety reasons that they can't run silent but DAMN , let me choose the sound because it sounds like a church choir or something... AND its louder than some gas cars which makes no sense
(Its easily disabled but that's a bad idea if something were to happen and you got caught)

What he said.. hybrid engines are for electric power generation only until the last few years. Some makes and models started using electric assisted transmissions which provide engine drive and power generation to the batteries. So most hybrids will not move under engine power only. Which really sucks when you have to figure out the first and worst time. It’s a toss up between limp capability vs economy.. idk..
