Yes - got a VIN and a build date week of 1/3/2022 via email from Ford
Then you should be good for 01/03 build. The dates posted were for unscheduled orders without a vin yet

Does anyone know what the last build dates are for the 2021 Ranger? My order was confirmed on 7/20/21 and I have the VIN but no window sticker and no production date yet. I would like to get this vehicle before January 3, 2022 to receive $1000 dollars off and 0 percent interest.

Or maybe I should just buy one off the lot as it seems the dealers around my area are starting to get inventory?

I see Yaegerbomb ordered 09/09/2021, in production on 11/13, and it is built and shipped. and below I ordered on 4/26/2021, built 08/09/2021 and today still stuck deliv end of last month? If I did not want this truck so much I am inclined to tell Ford where they can shove this truck. My dealer says they have received a bunch of these things well after they ordered mine and can't get Ford to say a peep on when this thing is coming. Might even be coming now, or not.

Going to google now on how to find the bright and sunny side of this whole story. lol

Great news! Lot's of progress today. I have yet another estimated delivery date - now set for 12/15/2021. This is just awesome for a truck ordered in April. To say I am pissed is putting it mildly. And what kills me is no one at the dealership or at Ford seems to give a flying f#ck!
Yeah, me too with my order on 04.26.2021 and I am just over the freaking moon to see someone ordered in September getting their soon. lol I will believe it when I see him actually receive it.

My dealer says he can't get anything at all on my order either.

There will be consequences in the future with decision on buying future vehicle and I won't be getting warm fuzzy about recommending or buying from them again.

Well, I just got back from the dealership and...... Ford had canceled my order along with many others even though I did have a VIN number issued. It took them a while to search on what happened, they are confused as well. Said it was pushed to be a 2022 model, but who knows now, waiting for the sales person to call me when he comes in. What kills me is that many others had their trucks made and received after I placed my order on 7/20/21.

Whoa!

Not sure at this time if I willing to wait a few more months....

Ordered a 2022 Iconic Silver XLT Crewcab, FX4, 300A on Nov 5th. Ford just told me that my truck will be scheduled and placed in the first available production week (whatever that means). Fingers crossed, but we'll see!
I don't think production means anything as I was told same thing back in July. "Woo hoo, you truck will be in production early Aug" they told me.

Silly me, I sold my 2002 at that time thinking early Aug production, few weeks for shipping, end of Aug at latest I will be able to go fishing.

I still don't have truck, But, perhaps I will have a bed full of wheat from it sitting out in the weather waiting for chips since early August.

Just suspecting what first available production means - as you said "whatever that means". Uncross them fingers, gonna get crick in em. ;)

I am in the same boat - our timeline match almost exactly. They now are telling me the estimated delivery date to the dealer is 12/15. This truck has been in my plans since my Christmas vacation to Cabo in 2017. I returned home in January 2018 immediately undertaking the usual pre-purchase research that I normally do. It was then that I learned 2019 would be the first year the new Ranger would be available in the US. Not wanting a truck in the first year of a new model, I decided to wait. In 2020 covid kicked off and I delayed placing an order until April of this year. Originally, I was expecting the truck to be here in mid-July. Now we are looking at mid-December and no firm delivery date is guaranteed.

The most troubling thing for me has been the complete and utter failures on Ford's part to communicate with the customer. Not one email has been sent to me. When I have called the customer care line all I get is the same canned response, "It is on the way, if you have any more questions please contact the dealer"

To say my cup of frustration is overflowing would be a tremendous understatement.

It is unbelievable and it must be more than just your vehicle on the train Why isn't Ford holding CSX liable in some form.? Do you have a train car # to track?
If they have problem shipping I'd go out there and pick the darn thing up myself. Time I got, it is truck I don't got.

Yes, this is almost exactly same boat for both of us.

I had a 96 Ranger some with 110k in 2002 and loved it. Some woman in van changing lanes clipped rear end and insurance company totaled it. Gave me way more for it than I'd every have expected. Insurance guy's arm was never same from me grabbing that check so fast. Bought a 2002 and wanted to replace for years but they stopped building. Same not wanting first year production model and then delay to see how people fared. Never did see anything on lot after looking for quite a while and ordered.

To be fair, my sales guy and dealer have my respect and no frustration with them. The sales guy can't sell it if Ford does not produce it! But, at least they could be straight with me on what is going on. And if they are so F'd up they can't project when it will be done, they are really in trouble.

What exactly is your build??

Mine is 4x2, 6ft box, Supercab, 501A, Lariat, Spray in liner, splashguards/flaps, running board/chrome, trailer tow package, chrome appearance package.

Never need 4x4 or big cab and got to have longer bed for canoe, plywood, etc. lol

Have wondered if there was some option that caused delays.

I had a 98 XLT loaded supercab 4X2 and love it. I drove it for 11 or 12 yrs until a divorce caused me to need something with 4 seats and then I gave the Ranger to my best friend to use on his farm in NC. He drove it another 3 or 4 yrs until it died.

I recently bought a 99 Ranger base model XLT Supercab with 90K miles, intended for my daughter but she doesn't want it. It was actually built in Sept 1998. So far it is a great beater vehicle. Looks like a 24 yr old truck needing a wax and polish job but otherwise, it is near perfect.

Now my current order is a 4X4 Lariat Supercrew, 501A, Spray-in bed liner, Black appearance package, tow package, electronic locking rear differential.

Maybe it is the spray in bedliner that some mentioned a while back. lol

Missed the whole fall fishing season, can't get the canoe out. Missing my fall mulch making program. I collect 100 or so big bags of leaves I use for mulch making and use some as insulation on winterizing several fig trees. The stuff one does in retirement.

Ford Customer Care hasn't been any help. Here is what they told me, word for word on November 2 and again at 940 this morning. Again, both messages were word for word identical.

Good morning Gregory. After reviewing my resources, I do see that your vehicle order is currently shipped. Your vehicle is In Transit or on its way to your dealership. For more information regarding your order, please keep in contact with your selling dealership. They will have access to the most up-to-date information and developments regarding your order. You can also stay updated on your Ranger order using the customer order tracking link. https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking…

Let me guess you have a Supercab on order?
