2019 Ranger Solid Axle Swap

Thank you! My first sas that I did, I used forums like this to plan the entire build from start to finish. Hopefully it will help a few along the way. Although with ifs technology, it might make more sense to go the long travel route for most people.

For my front I actually think a ton of normal people would benefit from going to bronco parts as they are 2.5 inches longer and would get them a factory mid/long travel set up. Bit what's good front travel without rear travel options available.

Today I mounted the new 38x12.50x17 nitto ridge grapplers. I wanted to make the move to a bigger tire, but I wasn't ready to commit to 40s. Nitto just recently came out with this new size and I feel like it was made for this build. I also lowered the front down 3". I feel like the truck finally has the stance I was looking for when I started this project.

Things left to do (this list is for me as well, lol)
Wire power steering speed controller
Install front driveshaft
Mount teraflex speed bumps
Install limit straps
Install rear lights and wire in rear lights
Install RC mcl6 switch panel
Retorque everything
Test drive....

Why is a solid front axle so important? I thought independent would give you more mobility? Not an off-roader so haven't really looked into the why's of this stuff, however awesome job.

I'm not an off-roader, but my understanding is that a solid axle acts like a lever. When one end is pushed up by the terrain, it pushes down on the other end increasing traction.

I'm assuming they can be stronger as well.
