What mpg do you get towing that at highway speeds ? I nearly bought a Grand Design but went with a NOBO 19.5 - 23' , the NOBO is lighter by around 600 lbs and IIRC not as wide but I don't think that makes a lot of difference . nice rig

From RV fails, I guess it qualifies, I'd be too embarrassed to post this failure. As they say sh*t happens.

Anyone else have dump station injury stories? I was all done, walking to stow the stinky slinky in it's storage when I missed the step off the curb, rolled my ankle, went down, not right in the poop area, but close

, and fractured my ankle and foot in two places. Fun times...

Do not know. Mostly doing short trips to get used to the brake controller and see how everything responds to various driving scenarios. I know I need better mirrors; that is one big weakness with a Ranger. I can tell the engine is putting in a lot of effort; hope this thing is not over-taxed.

I don't find towing the NOBO which weighs 4162 UVW as over-taxing the Ranger but it's certainly not close to being as smooth as a full sized pickup, lots of gear changes which become annoying as I often tow through hilly and mountainous terrain in CO, UT and AZ.

Your not anywhere near "overtaxing" your Ranger....many here tow rigs bigger and heavier with no problems at all. Just make sure your using the tow-mode and using premium gas when towing, and don not be afraid to shift to a lower gear to get the rev's up if needed....you won't hurt anything.
Mirrors.....your gonna be limited to cli[p on type or if money allows, a set of ClearView replacement mirrors.....expensive, but those of us who have them wouldn't give them up.

I agree you are not over-taxing the Ranger. My guess on the mileage is 10 to 10.5 mpg on the highway. Weight really does not affect mileage that much. It's frontal area! Do yourself and the transmission a favor, use tow/haul mode and lockout 9th and tenth gears. It will stop a lot of the shifting on the highway, and stay 70 or under mph. Over 70 and mpg goes south really fast.

A big +1 for the Clearview mirrors.

this happened in MO on Sunday - 4 fatalities. tragic and these RVs seem to be very combustible

Basically their nothing but cracker boxes on wheels. Throw in propane tanks and propane running thru the lines, usually to the fridg while on the road and you have a roman candle when there's an accident.
Even top of the line million dollar motorhomes will suffer the same outcome.
4 fatalities....probably means none were wearing seatbelts.....sad....

For me over 60 mph and the mpg drops and not in a linear fashion. Over 70 I don't even want to think about it unless I owned an oil well. On interstates I just plod along at 62 mph and watch everyone pass by, including full sized pickups towing massive 5th wheel trailers going 75+

agree I tow at about 55-65 max and honestly anywhere north of 60 it's downhill really fast

Here ya go dtech. Cruise set on 70 all day when we weren't avoiding construction. Physics doesn't care, my Ranger would have been no better.....and the Hybrid doesn't help here either.

Ohh and E15 in the midwest sucks ass.
