New FordPass app just sux, literally worthless to actually use.

Y'all care a lot more about the app than I do. I use my keyfob for remote-start, my manual is in the glovebox, and I log all my service records on Car Care app (Carfax).

The app has a few useful functions for me and they are all still there front and center. UI designers have to update things every so often to justify their jobs so it's best just to learn to live and accept the new changes. It's might be a bit apathetic, but it seems like it does no use to complain. They don't listen anyways.

It is probably a waste of time recording the rotations but I'll try anyways. From what I've read the 55k tire warranty is pretty much always denied. Has anyone actually gotten free tires from them wearing out too soon?

from a automaker, no. OE tires don’t have mileage warranty. They’re made different from “production” tires. Usually softer compound to help with NVH. The Hankooks on your truck at purchase will not be the same as the Hankooks you buy from anyone but the dealer. Second set of tires will last longer

my remote doesn’t control remote start. I can only do it from the app.

It's horrible! I left a bad review at the App Store. I use it for maintenance records and now you have to add mtce through the website...just a bulkier way to do it.

That's because you have the poor version of the truck.

Not a superior version like mine.

I'd prove mine is superior in all ways, except it's at the dealer right now having it's far superior transmission evaluated.

Well I guess that app does show location still. That’s a plus. But now they do not show the extended warranty info. I was told by ford that the warranty info can be seen on the website. So I logged in while I was on the phone with them & it does not show your extended warranty on the site anymore. They said no way to view this any longer. They said call ford protect to have them email you the info. I have the info I just liked seeing it.

When they had warranty info in the app, at least for me, it wasn't completely right anyway. They didn't have my light's warranty included and had mine listed for extra rental, which I had deleted. I called ford protect twice to make sure they had listed what I bought was correct and confirmed with them, it was. I also have my original contract copy, which needless to say is something you should hold on to.

The new app sucks a$$. Can't add maintenance record through the app while I'm out in my shop changing oil, rotating tires, etc. Plus, they've moved some of the features deeper into the app. More intuitive, my butt.

Ive always thought the app sucked, I only have it for that very rare occasion I walk outside without my keys.....even then it seems like it would be faster to just go inside and grab my keys.

Beyond the remote start for for those that dont have the key fob(which lets be honest...why isnt this just a standard feature?) the app has pretty much no purpose.
Then again, I am bias and hate phone apps with a passion. I have 4 that I regularly use.

I used to be able to track location with the old app. It would update real quick. Now it will not update. My granddaughter comes home from work and the app says she's still there. What was useful for tracking a teen had been removed. So now it's time to turn off all tracking in the app and vehicle. Had something useable and they destroyed it.

I got "upgraded" too, no choice of mine. I don't have any of the weird issues mentioned above but my biggest gripe is that you cannot add a service. My second biggest gripe is that they took away the fuel gauge. Maybe I'm nitpicking about that one...
3rd gripe, I had to allow the app permission to access Google maps for location purposes and you did not have to do that with the old version.

I didn't mind the press and hold "buttons" for start and lock/unlock.
The app doesn't work better or worse than the old version, I simply don't like it, for the above mentioned reasons and more.

I'm going to complain on the app store. Probably be a better use of my time to rub my balls on a hotplate though.

2019 Lariat 4x4... I have not had any problems with the new app. Sync is working, remote features work perfectly, data is there--although it isn't as intuitive to locate info as the old app.

I have aftermarket Wildpeaks. And they're wearing out fast. Especially the one I keep chirping gears with.
