Does anyone actually use the Hotspot functionality?

I do, but will probably give it up. I did it at first just for the novelty of it - and didn't consider the incremental cost on our AT&T bill to be a big concern. One of our granddaughters spent a fair amount of time with us, and she likes using my iPad. But now that she's older, and not with us much (aka, outgrown us), I'll probably drop it.

When you live in a country where 5g unlimited internet access is the norm.. that thing is just slow and pointless. And why would you share single bandwidth since everyone can use their own?

edit: And yes, they tried the "monthly data limits" but not a single person in this country bought such a perverted subscription.

I used to Work for Nokia KNI! Yes you guys have the best Cell coverage in the WORLD. And are practically born with a cell phone!

I went with the 3 mo. trial subscription as I've gone on a few camping trips this summer.
I just got back from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon last week, and was able to check e-mails, etc. with the hotspot.
Sure didn't have any cell coverage up there.
I doubt I'll go past the trial period, though, I won't use it enough to justify the cost.

TMobile gives me a free hotspot. Dont remember if its capped or unlimited.
