What I find most atrocious about my 2019 Ranger Lariat 4x4 is the tiny little fuel tank that Ford decided to put in the vehicle. 18.8 gallons is an abysmally small fuel tank for even a light truck. I had a 2003 Explorer Sport Trac and it had a 22 gallon tank and was considerably smaller; not...
I have had the Perimeter Plus module installed for a while now. The remote start works fine...when I can get the fob button sequence right. I have never been able to trigger any shock or vibration alarms with it, though...no honks when the door handles are pulled without the fob nearby.
I purchased the Touchlink bed lighting kit for my 2019 Lariat a few weeks ago. So far, I'm impressed.
Installation is pretty straightforward and the instructions are clear enough to figure out what's what and what goes where. I ran into an issue with the length of the leads going to the battery...
Check local shops about rebuilding the tranny. That's usually a bit cheaper than a whole new transmission from Ford...which could also have issues common to these transmissions.
Here's a link to the .pdf of the instructions

Yeah, I'm going with a AuxBeam or Niilight switch panel for some accessories I want to install, No way I'm spending upward of $2k on some switches. lol
Thanks, unhappyelf. I like this thread! I'm also interested in some mods to the ambient lighting, mostly adding a few LEDs in select places--door cubbys, cupholder area, maybe under the driver's & passenger's seats for the rear floorboard. This definitely gives me some much better ideas than I...
I know this is an older thread...but...
Is there an easy way from the top of the dash, where the tray is, to run a wire down so I can install an accessory (USB) power point or switch panel? I don't see a feed through point, can't see any light coming out the top when I put a flashlight under...
I've never been all that brave playing around with all that. As stated above I discovered this thing by accident. I know its a feature and probably relatively safe, but I don't want to jack up my transmission, I was never a manual transmission person.
When I got in my truck this morning to go to the doctor, I noticed something was added to my guages display. When in "D" (drive) there is now a small section that pops up on the center-right side showing which gear my truck is in. This wasn't there yesterday when I was running errands.
And, no...
2019 Lariat 4x4... I have not had any problems with the new app. Sync is working, remote features work perfectly, data is there--although it isn't as intuitive to locate info as the old app.
If you look in the manual, these are child seat restraint hard points. There's a strap on the back of a child seat that loops around the back of the seat to secure it. Might be useful for other cargo securing purposes, but that's what it is.
I put a "stubby" antenna on my 2019 Ranger Lariat this afternoon. Got it from Builtright Industries, item #110027. Lower profile and looks really good (I think). I'll get a picture of it probably tomorrow.
I installed the P+ alarm setup on my '19 Lariat tonight. Was out eclipse watching and just had to get it put in when I got home.
Anyways...
Isn't it supposed to honk the horn when the door handles are pulled when double-click locked? If so, mine's not doing that. It's also not setting off any...
The Rub:
Some automakers, General Motors in particular, compiles and sells the information to brokers who then sell it to insurance companies. The insurance company doesn't have to track you in real-time, they can amass a "history" on you and determine your rates or whether they want to...
