The replacement for warranty has to be Ford Approved and that isn't going to happen! It will be interesting how many hoops this turns into. I have a great Service Guy and I will wait to see what he can do.

Have them take one out of another Ranger. Better yet, let's all meet up and go grab one for you. :bandit: :captain:

HA!

If you only knew how many batteries for Fords I have bought and I am all too familiar with a Tow Truck.

SO here is the best part. Batteries are on backorder. NO ETA! The plant that makes them is on strike. How long will it sit? and when do I buy my own battery?
geez ford service just flat stinks. i had a wally world battery go bad a few years ago with less than a month left on the warranty for the battery. they didnt have one in stock so the gave me one that was in stock that was a more expensive battery than the one i bought. no charge.

Had to call Ford Roadside Assist, pretty quick response too. The battery finally died at 2.5 years old and just over 11.5k. Warranty should cover all this, and then I picked up a Ford Battery Charger.

I can relate - a few years back…….

Same issue, same call, same fate. My dealer had batteries - it sucks that you have to wait.

What a bummer but sounds like you handled it great!

I love using a battery tender in my Scab. Hardwired the plug to the battery to make it super easy to use regularly (tender is in garage with long connector cable to truck plug accessible without opening hood).

Cause I hate myself, installed these solo while downing Vietnamese coffee(which is like cocaine of coffee) barefooted in my garage.

Not perfectly aligned but I think it'll be fine. I'm starting to wonder if there's even a straight edge on these rangers...

Now to address what the in channel ones did to the "belt molding".. stupid naming ford. Anyway, yeah they're ruined.

Most states only require mud flaps on commercial vehicles. The GVWR of a ranger isn’t near anywhere being high enough to meet that requirement
California, Washington, and most familiar to me Alaska all do and they can enforce their rules on out of state vehicles.

I like those much better than the ones I installed because they don't leave a 3" gap between the doors.
What brand?

As a ford tech no it doesn't. Ford has told us if an OEM part is not available we are able to substitute an aftermarket option.

Got the icon springs put in the rear. For reference I already had a 2.5” lift up front and these springs DWARF that. I guess my move to 35s won’t be much of a problem in the rear lol. Time to go to 3”+ up front! As far as ride these icons are an improvement over the stock springs for sure. Firmed up handling in corners and at high speed. That’s a stock height “highboy” in the back for anyone familiar with the older fords. The Ranger is now taller than that truck in the rear! ? (The Ranger has 255/85/16 toyo MTs on it )

Installed Bilstein 4600s on my 23 FX4. I have the fronts to do in the coming weeks. So far there’s less “movement” over bumps and dips in the road, but I feel more small road imperfections. I may air down to what the door sticker is at 35 psi vs 40 which I’m running now. I feel they were worth the dough!
