  1. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

What is 404? Is it a coating of 303 with an extra coating of 101?!? Oh no, does this mean I gotta buy more detailing stuff? I already have 5 bottles of 303 Graphene (maybe I should combine them into one 15015?). I did just get a gallon of Adam's Rust Remover to try out. not my pic but ...
  2. Flatbed Camper

It's good stuff, we have inflatable kayaks made with it and I can stand on the floor or side when inflated (10 psi) and it holds my 200+ pounds without sagging. Have some great adventure with that awesome topper (I need one!). =D
  3. Where’s your dog?

It's so frigging hard - I'd wake up crying a year later after our Australian Shepherd passed. We had Fred for 17 years and he was a rescue. It took us another 10 years before Cheech came into our life. A little guy that had been in 7 places the two years before we got him, including the city...
  4. Flatbed Camper

Yikes! $33,300! That's $7k more than I paid for Soupie! But they are wicked cool looking! =)
  5. Flatbed Camper

That looks like drop-stich inflatable walls? Are they? Pretty nice looking setup! =)
  6. Why does Ford Pass say I need an oil change?

Wow, you brought me back with Six Sigma! Kate was a team working with Dallas defense contractors that won the Malcolm Baldrige Award back in the day. Not saying any of her old gang owe her favours, but be careful about anything bad you might say about Soupie ... =D And, unfortunately, I live in...
  7. Underbody Blast

I'm conscientious of things like differential breathers but the force is quite a bit reduced compared to a single nozzle gun. I use an electric pressure washer that's about 1,000 psi too. Plus the distance from the nozzles to the undercarriage means a reduction in force (compared to running...
  8. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Oh, good point! Derr! Yeah, it won't help Soupie but apart from helping others, if I park over the railroad tracks, it could help with our poorly engineered bed rake (but something tells me there could be a downside to parking on RR tracks ...). =D 1969 Ford F100 Ranger! and FTW!!!
  9. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Yep, hang on! And Duke, you‘ve given me a brilliant idea! I like to think of Soupie as utilitarean, so I should make amagnetic sweeper to hang off the back to suck up nails and screws. hmm, from Grainger:
  10. The Survey

I think you were very fair aand honest in your review. I'm sorry his pay is tied to the reviews, but don't be mediocre. Way back, I was a manager at a Circuit City regional service center in Texas and we served 5 states. About half of the managers' salary was based on survey results, so a bad...
  11. Just The Thing For Those Protesters Blocking The Road

I used to live in Dallas and this sounds like a pretty scary situation (I worked a third shift job for several months, but was on the road home at 8 am). I don't carry in the truck but I do have my 30 inch breaker bar, which I'd be tempted to joust with. With my luck and spazziness, I'd...
  12. What did you do to your Ranger today?

See, I knew you all loved me! =p What helpful answers and, all kidding aside, probably the best answers as this is one of those odd behaviours that hopefully never happens again. Maybe the truck finally felt bad for that one time it didn't start when I first got it (that dreaded "the truck is...
  13. What did you do to your Ranger today?

What did I do today? Looked at Soupie with a stupid face because of a weird issue and curious if anyone else has experienced this. I went to the post office, turned it off and came back out and thought using the key to unlock the door might be good, since I rarely do. Well, my sausage fingers...
  14. First "long" trip.

That's a nice setup - I envy it and looked up your travel trailer - seems like such a perfect fit for the Ranger. =) Also, thanks for the awesome pics! Really spectacular!
  15. Just a simple question of "WHY?!"

And while this is true, your load doesn't always stop in combo with your truck and trailer! =D
  16. How about some Jokes [Admin: No Covid or Politics!]

FFR? I was looking for stickers and ... not what I thought ... and my fave! I like how Kristina had one in the bed of her truck. Can't find her post but she had a TAFFR sticker in the bed of her truck visible when the tailgate was down. =)
  17. Just a simple question of "WHY?!"

Everything you need to know, such as "no trailer is too long", can be learned right here: From Wikipedia: The trailer used in the film is the 1953 36-foot Redman New Moon model, which sold for US$5,345 (equivalent to $60,869 in 2023). The new car used to tow the trailer is a 1953 Mercury...
  18. Battery and Charging

Same as @mtbikernate's experience with my CTEK getting all lights lit. I can't remember the specifics, but I remember being frustrated with the CTEK. After all, I'm old school and still have my 40+ year old Craftsman 10/2 amp charger! Ii seems like it was a few weeks, maybe a month before all...
  19. New Zealand TV ad for the Ranger

It looks like the XL is available as single cab, scab, or screw. And the XLT is available as scab or screw. The others are screw only. https://www.ford.co.nz/showroom/future-vehicle/next-gen-ranger/ XL single cab and chassis XL scab cab and chassis XL screw cab and chassis XL and Tremor...
  20. Shock options for the 2wd city truck

I did the 4600's for my 2WD XL. I went back and forth on which shocks to get. And like you, no lift and I'm also on the pavement all the time. I find that it does make a difference for that head whipping when hitting bumps or potholes, especially while turning. It's not night and day, but it...
