Well, see ya Vern. If I get rid of my Ranger it will be for the next gen model. Or the f250 with the godzilla engine

Drove one today. Really nice truck. They wanted 42,650 for a p4x though with only the tech package (safety features that most cars have standard) and I was not interested in placing a deposit at that price since in 2021 trucks need deposits ?. I need to find something closer to 40 and I might bite.

I did not have any issues with the 10 speed auto. I thought it is the best transmission I driven. Always in right gear. I drove up and down the mountains a couple days ago and loved the way the Ranger drove.

Dealers are being sent what ever trucks Nissan allocates to them at this point. I've seen some weird options such as a Sports Bar package in an SV, and the Kicker Tailgate Audio System, to a long bed SV.

The tech package adds $990, the Convenience Package adds $1990, and the Premium Package adds $2790. That's topping almost $6,000 in options.

Mine was 39,385, But I didn't really need the extras. I wanted the side steps and a bedliner as must options. So, I saved $3000 without those options.

Off-Road Style Step Rails, Crew Cab
Off-Road Protection Package (PRO-4X)
Bedliner, Crew Cab
Electronic Tailgate Lock
PRO-4X Mud Flaps (4-piece set)
Carpeted Floor Mats, Crew Cab (3-piece set)

Top of the line Pro-4x can top $44,000 with some of the models we have here.

Odd question but hows the rake on that thing?

After noticing how the rake is on the ranger and other trucks lately, I realized I've not seen a single side-shot on even ground of the frontier.

meh. nissan's doing that bs thing where if you want the top end trim you have to have four doors. because of course people who want a shorter cab and a longer bed don't need things like led headlights or the big screen.

The Ranger engine and tranny combo is excellent. Most people that complain about it are seeking to justify either buying a tune or trading for something else.

No where as bad as the Ranger. I can't see the underbody and spare tire on the Frontier, like I could on the Ranger.
The Colorado and Canyon are awful, and they did a horrible job of the spare tire stowing.

Sorry dude and I hope you like it but that is in my eye a butt ugly truck. The front end is just too busy looking and the squarish wheel wells reminds me of anything that GM has produced in the last 20 years

That's why there are so many companies that make trucks. Different likes for different folks!
I liked the Ranger overall. I like the Frontier better.

Everyone will have their opinion!

You want a BUTT UGLY truck, go buy you a Tunrda Turd Pro. LOL Like the "squarish wheel wells" on that one????

Man that does look clean. Nearly leveled from the factory.

Know what you mean about the GM twins, Like good lord, one good speed bump you'll be breaking the bead off that spare or worse. Always laughed when they talk about the good ground clearence yet the spare tire is like 5" off the ground.

That's hilarious.

It's obvious that Nissan is trying to be more Toyotaish with their 10 year past due "update."

Mr. Pot, have you met Mr. Kettle?

The Ranger engine and tranny combo is excellent. Most people that complain about it are seeking to justify either buying a tune or trading for something else.
Most people have taken their Fords back to the dealer to hopefully get their takeoff stumble/vibrations fixed or their ECM reprogrammed so it will either stop the vibrations and/or stumbles with no avail. Ford has issued plenty of TSB’s to fix various issues that customers have or haven’t complained about. Sadly I’m not aware of one that is out for saggy leather seats, poor climate control or thin paint complaints.

Most people added tunes for more power or with hopes of solving some of the drivability issues related to Ford complying with EPA restrictions, then Ford comes out with their own “Performance Tune” and sticks it to their customers because IMO they didn’t get it right from the factory.

Disgruntled customers is why most people buy different trucks or they just want something different.
As a disgruntled customer I’m living with my truck and happy with my Unleashed tune that has more or less fixed the drivability issues that my dealer could not address.

Give it time, I’m sure there will be some quirks with the new Nissan that will cause customers to go elsewhere or get aftermarket tunes.
