As a retired broker, I got about 10 phone calls about tesla stock this week..the people who hadn't bought it wanting to buy in and the people owning it saying it was going to 5000...same kinda hysteria with bitcoin two years ago. When the masses become over confident at highs, and scared shitless at lows you usually know the trend is going to change sooner than later or at worse pause for a while.

It is about due diligence and being both smart about risk management and lucky - ahead of the herd before they arrive and leave when the are piling in. I bought LBrands a month ago before the news hit. That makes me smile. Blood in the streets and all that... :^)

The weekly chart looks like an inverse head and shoulders pattern. With shoulder line 6-8 area. Sitting at the Fibonacci .618 retracement. To someone who has been trading and studying charts for too long this is a golden set up. Buy the shoulder line. Set a stop below it and forget it. That's only one screen. My home computer set up has 8 for trading and management....knowing the game pays for itself.

It's all discipline. Small losses and big wins. It's people who hold losers or never take profits who find themselves getting avg returns. All stock moves have a shelf life...even then they go into periods of consolidation or chop that aren't worth owning.People who gamble get can't manage money. Markets designed to take the most amount of money from most amount of people. Simple game but money is emotional.

FYI short SMH, AAPL, and XLK. Market melt up is a sell the news event on trump being acquitted IMHO. Advising clients to lower allocations in the market/hedge and wait for dips.. That's why i'm fairly confident F has more room to drop sh term...Long term likely not a bad area

Lot of divergences in momo and etfs not making new highs to confirm. Probability of decent down growing means reduce allocations. Pros short . Be careful. Cheers.
