A 265/70R17 works real well on the stock 17" wheel with a front 2" lift. No issues at all and plenty of clearance.
I initially was going to do a 265/70/17 but it still seems to have mixed reviews because I really don’t want to spend 800 for tires and have to remove the crash bars. I think I’m going with the 255/70/17 since that adds an extra inch and Keeps the same width as stock and I’m going to add a +25 wheel so should be safe with no trimming . I don’t think you’ll be able to tell the difference between a 255/70/17 vs 265/70/17. If anyone has any experience with this let me know please.

I thought the same but went with the 265/70/17 last week and have 250 miles on it already and NO ISSUES or rubbing at all...no changes needed...it works and looks great. I went with the Hankook Dynapro AT2 and they have a rebate and they are ride better than the stock tires.

I'm looking at 265/70/17 an 255/75/17. There don't seem to be an many choices I like in 255/75.

If I was keeping the stock sport wheels I would go with the 265/70 but since I’m going with the “ranger spec” icon six speed at +25 I have a hard time believing they will fit based off what everyone has said. Just seems like a lot of variables plus you have a lift and im not sure if I will do a lift or not at this point.

They have the falken at3w and the toyo at3’s in the 265/70/17 I was torn between the two. I’m going with the toyos.

I don't know if you said you were going go with a lift up front or not. If you are, there is not one person that I know of on this forum that has had any issues with a +25 offset and a 265/70R17 tire size. I researched it hard because that is initially what I was looking to do. If you aren't lifting the vehicle, then I can understand your concern.

A guy I work with went with Nitto's when he put 35"s under his Tundra an he's really happy with them. I want to keep additional weight to a minimum an avoid adding a bunch of road noise. Seems like Falken's are priced well but a little heavier than others. I'm probably gonna wait another 15K or so before changing mine but I like the Nitto's an Generals for tread looks.

You know anyone specific? They didn’t have to remove any crash bars?

Did you have the lift on prior to the wheels and tires? Or all in one shot?
The lift was on for a week with Sport wheels until the tires came in, then switched out. Zero rubbing either way. Pic 1 is stock. #2 with lift before new wheels & tires. # 3 completed project
