You should expect 2 automatic restarts. On initial plug in, the voice data is deleted and the first set of map chunks goes in with the license. It will then auto restart. Then the second set of map chunks go in, again followed by an auto restart. Finally, the last map chunk and 3 nav voice chunks go in. This time, when the install complete pop up is shown it will stay on screen. The system will not automatically restart itself after a few seconds.Well that's where I am a bit confused. I was driving this time and a screen popped up that said it was going to restart and it need a key on/off. But, like I said I was driving and I could not read the entire dialog before the system shutdown. At that point I was close to home and basically turned off the truck after it rebooted (which was probably the first time actually but almost 1 hour in). But about that dialog...I know I read something about a key cycle.
If you recall, I tried loading it seperately and got a messgae about install compete and then it rebooted itself. But then the ISVU screen showed no Voice file.
AT this point I'm not sure what to do next....reload the map again or try loading just the file or punting.
EDIT: To be clear...how many restarts should I expect and when can I actually turn off the truck?
Okay, thanks much. Your help IS appreciated! You should expect 2 automatic restarts. On initial plug in, the voice data is deleted and the first set of map chunks goes in with the license. Yes I know. I downloaded 1.19 previously but 3.3 still showed 1.18. I thought when I updated to 3.4 it would show 1.19.Maps aren't part of usual "system updates" you need to update maps seperately
What all is the forscan fix for this again? Anyone have before and after configuration values? Only thing I can think of is there was some change made to handling of the config values for climate domain in 3.4 to cause it. I've never seen it happen myself to look into. You can report a bug using the bug reporter utility in 3.4 (in Settings under the Analytics & Diagnostics).Yup. Just confirmed. Climate controls are now missing after the update, and they were there prior. This is even after a master reset.
Any thoughts @UofMEngineer ?
Edit: it even shows the temp setting, but all controls are gone.

It will show 119 if you reload 119 under 3.4.Yes I know. I downloaded 1.19 previously but 3.3 still showed 1.18. I thought when I updated to 3.4 it would show 1.19.
Just got done in my XLT SCrew 4x4. I’ve got climate. Both you and I have XLT S-Crew 4x4 and had the issue, whereas Clump has a Lariet and didn't have the issue. I realize it's probably reaching at this point but so far the commonality is XLT trim. Normally it wouldn't be a huge deal but without the climate button we have no control over the vents.
I do not have heated seats...maybe there's a specific configuration in the XLT trim that isn't "jiving" with the update? The alternative is it's just a roll of the dice...Just got done in my XLT SCrew 4x4. I’ve got climate.

Maybe it is something else? Do you have heated seats and if so do they show in the main screen? (I do and the controls for them show up)

Thanks. It will show 119 if you reload 119 under 3.4.
But, you still have map 119 loaded, it's just that 3.4 isn't showing that because it was loaded under 3.3
I do not have heated seats either. I wonder if it's the higher-level trim and/or specific climate options that are triggering this.I do not have heated seats...maybe there's a specific configuration in the XLT trim that isn't "jiving" with the update? I have an appointment Monday to bring it in, the techs told me they've been having lots of issue with Ford updates (not specific to any vehicle) and actually have to spend several days getting "customized" update packages to fix everything.
I did sent in an "other" report for climate in the diags as I was going through things checking for any setting I may have missed. What all is the forscan fix for this again? I don't recall ever seeing climate on mine, but I only saw one reboot.19 XLT with non heated seats lost my climate controls too, going to 3.4 it rebooted alot of times and the funny thing was after the 2nd reboot the climate icon was there but disappeared. Update was not ready for prime time
There then gone makes me think there’s some unique configuration item that might be at fault. I know some recovered by toggling some config bits, just am not recalling the before/after.19 XLT with non heated seats lost my climate controls too, going to 3.4 it rebooted alot of times and the funny thing was after the 2nd reboot the climate icon was there but disappeared. I'm not touching this as I'm stressed out just reading all your posts. lol
