Will you be upgrading to a 6G? Why or why not?

No !!! My 2021 is paid for, have a 100,000 mile extended warranty, and have spent some serious $$$ in mods to make it an effective tow vehicle for our travel trailer.
It's doing fine, and buying new just to buy new is silly.

Nope, I am already fighting off the gremlins and have been winning the fight as of late. For me it’s the technology, sensors, and Detroit electronics.
But I will hold on to my danger ranger until she dies…. Which at 86k means soon if the our damper leader is correct. ?

I’ll consider it as I get closer to the end of my extended warranty. My truck’s been worry-free and performs great and I’ve put in a lot of time and effort to make it my own. I really like the styling, performance and utility of this truck.

After the 6g has been out for a couple of years, I’ll know exactly what’s available and what to expect. Right know, there are still too many questions and too much speculation about just how it will look and be appointed.

I’ll likely continue enjoying my current Ranger for a few more years before I make any decisions.

I will stick with my 2020. I like the look of the front more than the 6G. I also got $6k off the sticker before the chip shortage. I don’t think that could happen with the 6G.

No. this is my long term truck; ≥ 20 years. The T6 is scheduled to run 8 yrs, then there will be a reengineered 7G Ranger & Bronco in 2031 and BEV versions by then. Battery tech hopefully will allow for 10min, 80+% charges by then. As we're getting on in years, we may decide to get by with only one vehicle, we will look at replacing our '09 Mariner with a BEV in the next 5-6 years-current battery tech works for how we use that vehicle. The Ranger wouldn't get replaced in that scenario.

I think it is gorgeous! Grows on me each time I see it. If I ever see one in forest or emerald green, then I'll flip out and need CPR. Notice how my green M&M is on top?

So far I'm very happy with my '19. It does everything a want it to do, and plenty I didn't know I'd ask it to do. Its paid off, and I feel comfortable saying that a 6g equipped like mine would cost $12k-ish more than I paid. I usually get a 2 year itch to trade vehicles, but 4 years in, I like it even more now than I did when I bought it new.

Nope. The blew up the front end (in more ways than one) for questionable aesthetics and a bigger engine I didn't ask for. I'm also skeptical that if they have a supercab at all they'll allow a high trim configuration. I guess ford thinks other people will buy what they want to sell, and don't need to sell to me.

I want to upgrade. But there are a lot of things keeping me from doing it.

• I have a 2019 - It has all sorts of things that were then deleted in years after because of supply chain reasons
• It doesn't even have 27k miles on it​
• I'm about to replace the tires with some Falkens​
• it's almost paid off. I doubt there will be a 0% interest option in the near future, especially for a 6G​
• I like my truck now, there's nothing wrong with it​
• Did I mention it's almost paid off​
• I have a stock-installed engine cover. Some of you don't ​
• I'd miss the extra horsepower that comes with the tailgate dampener I installed​
• Just replaced the license plate lights with some decent ones from a better supplier, that took all of 62 seconds of work ... I'd hate to think I wasted my time​
• It would be nice to not have an extra payment for a while​

Still ... I'm gonna be 50 next year. A Ranger Raptor sure would be a nice present to myself for making it to 50.

It isn't enough of an upgrade for me to do it for the sake of the upgrade. If I found myself in the unfortunate position of needing a new truck, however, my experience with my 5g would put the 6g at the top of my short list for replacements.

It would have to be PHEV and have a 6' bed with high trim. Not a fan of 6G styling, looks like a box.

My '22 will be with me for the next 5 years, I predict. I think the only time I will upgrade is when a PHEV comes along. Hopefully, by then, they will have changed the styling again. I think the 6G looks horrible. I'm hoping there will be a good PHEV option by 2027.
