Interesting question. I have read that the battery is replaceable with some McGyvering, but I don't know if the factory code would be lost when the battery is removed.
I'd be tempted to try it, and if it doesn't work or can't be reset, I'd have to buy a new one anyway.
I could really go crazy...
I had Intelligent Access on my Flex. If you leave the fob in the truck, it won't honk. If you need to lock it running while away, use your Securicode keypad if you have one, or the Ford Pass app.
I found this which to me is the correct answer. There are indeed 4 generations of North American Rangers (now 5 as of the 2024 model).

I think it's time to totally blow up this thread, seeing as how nobody yet has been able to give poor @Craigo20162 a straight, er, definitive answer.
Anyway, Ford's original 4WD prototype was developed in partnership with Marmon Harrington in 1937, two years before Willys' prototype MA Quad...
The Ranger name was first used on a production vehicle for the 1959 Edsel. The Ranger being the base model and Villager and Corsair were the middle and top models, and both of those names have been recycled as well. the Villager name was used on Mercury station wagons and later a Nissan...
Have you selected your phone as the main "go to" phone in the Sync3 settings? My truck's Bluetooth is pretty bullish. I usually stream music to my garage stereo from my phone when I'm working out there, and as soon as I start the truck, it disconnects from the garage stereo and pairs to the truck.
