2022 Lariat Tremor SuperCrew for 4% below invoice ($43,816)

(plus $422 Doc fee, and tags/title/taxes after trade-in)

Oh, also got 1.9% financing for 48 on the remaining balance.

Ordered end of November 2021, delivered late February 2022.

I'm ordering one today in Maryland. One dealer in Delaware was going to charge $3K over MSRP and told me a 6-7 month wait (which is BS, I can only assume he wanted me to buy an overpriced 2021 on their lot). Talked to two dealers in Maryland who weren't marking up and told me they were selling at straight MSRP. One of the two mentioned a $1000 rebate for new Ranger orders, so that's where I'm going. $1K under MSRP.

Ordering a Grey Metallic XLT Supercrew with blackout and towing packages. Not a huge fan of the 18s on the blackout package...don't care for the rims, but I like everything else in the package. I'll see if dealer can do anything with wheels, but if not, I'll likely change to 17s with my first tire change. I also drove a 2021 that had a lift to level out the stance, and I like that look better. Will investigate that also.

New member - several month reader.

Just ordered 2022 Super Cab 4x2 Lariat (only extra option was trailer tow package). Ordered from Granger and will fly there and drive back home just under 1900 miles with a stop in Apache Junction AZ at Bedliners Veterans for my sprayed liner.

Prices are crazy in Southern California, so the Granger 3% under invoice was worthy of a trip. Besides the initial discount, with our super high license plate fees tied to your paid price, I'll have a bit of a savings each year in registration fee renewals.

MSRP $35380, Granger price $33062 less $1000 Ford bonus cash offer for custom order and $500 Ford bonus cash for Farm Bureau membership.

I'm grateful for their taking orders with this pricing structure.

PS - the Ranger will replace a 2001 Explorer Sport Trac bought new with only 71,000 miles (driven when you need a truck). But with more land where we built a house two years ago, and just completed a barn, happy life (ie happy wife, happy life) dictates being able to tow a horse trailer some time in the future, and the Sport Trac sure doesn't fit the bill.
what is this $1000 ford bonus for custom order you speak of? do i need to ask my salesman about this? is it dependent on location?

See https://www.ford.com/custom-order/ and then check with your dealer. When I ordered, there was an offer directly on the Ranger build your own page. I think that was the same program, but it had an order on or before 2/28 date -- and based on the link it looks like it's extended to the April date.

I ordered mine earlier this week:

2022 Ranger XLT – SUPERCREW 4 x 2
Exterior Color: Velocity Bue
Interior Color: Ebony
XLT 301A Equipment Group
Black Appearance Package
Trailer Tow Package
SecuriCode™ Keyless-Entry Keypad – Body Color

I had to check around with a few dealers, but finally found one of the local dealers that would order for me at X-Plan pricing.

I am also getting the $1k cashback for custom ordering like mentioned above which was extended into April.

Went to the dealer, they had a ‘21 XLT FX4 with the blackout and factory spray in liner. I was gonna order an XLT with a spray in liner. The one I built was $38,880. The one on the lot was $41,300. Told them I would order one, or they could sell me the one on the lot for the same price as the ‘22 I was gonna build. They took the deal.

got a truck with more on it than the one I was gonna order. Only difference is the one on the lot had 6k miles.

I think I did alright

You did okay, plus you don’t have to wait 6 months

For real. I’ve read people saying their wait is 8-12 weeks. My local dealer said 5-8 months :/ to me a warranty with 6k miles was well worth the wait. The FX4 and blackout to boot. I was feeling pretty good. Still am lol

I could be wrong but I think dealers may threaten longer wait times to push the overpriced used inventory they have. I checked with several dealers. The ones who had used ones on their lots were also were the ones who gave me the longest new order wait time estimates. I only found one used one that had the options and color I wanted and it was priced thousands over new MSRP. I'm not even gonna bother negotiating with a dealer who's that far over new MSRP on a 1 year old truck with 10k miles.

The dealership I ordered from told me the most recent one took about 90 days. Of course that wait may have gotten longer since that particular order was placed (which was probably in December), but I was told to expect 90 days. I'll hold that as a best case time. If it's ready in 90 days, then great, if not, I'll wait. Doesn't matter to me....I don't "need" it this minute and am happy to wait and get exactly what I wanted. I don't buy vehicles often....1 every 20 years or so! I've put 200-300k on all my vehicles. So I'm patient! ?

Same here! And I sure like to think I'd get mine after 90 days but, as you've said, it'll get here when it gets here and once we have it, the wait time will become a memory real fast.
