Thanks for posting the 5G link.
LOL, I'm the one who interjected the 6G reference (vs 5G). I don't think anyone outside of the 5G/6G forum members refer to these rangers as 5G/6G either - I know I don't.
Agreed, it is the next gen ranger. But since this forum is "ranger5g.com" and it has a forum section
6th Gen Ranger Talk which takes you to ranger6g.com, "6G" is pretty much a shorthand reference to the next gen vehicle.
But reading a lot of the comments, it looked like several thought this...
Props to U-Haul. I bought their 2" 7500 lb rated hitch ball, and they moved the prior 6000 lb hitch ball to the adjustable 5000 lb rated hitch receiver (yes, it's still 5000 lb max) and put the new 7500 lb ball on the 7500 lb rated 4" drop receiver for no charge.
This is vs the trailer place I...
No, you do not get one with the truck (got my Lariat last month). Another thread had a part number and searching that took me to the OEM manual provider, which then shows the case out of stock.
Hence the search for the item.
I almost bought a non Ford holder for $16 yesterday, but then I got...
I just bought this https://www.ebay.com/itm/164372180193 on sale for three more days. New Ford owner manual case (throw away the Fusion manuals) $11.95 with free shipping. More than 10 available per listing.
Just thought I would share.
Thanks for your reply! I just watched the video on the product page and I see how that plastic washer helps you get to the proper tightening / torque without a torque wrench -- that seems like a nice feature.
I do think I'll go with the U-haul ball mount, though I'll have to buy the 1-5/8"...
I probably didn't make myself clear - I understand all of this in terms of the weakest link.
I'm really interested in any thoughts on the flat washer element vs a split washer, and the use of a cotter pin through the bolt. It makes me wonder if the flat washer doesn't work as well as the split...
I need to buy a 7500 lb rated 2" hitch ball to switch out a 6000 lb ball on a 4" drop receiver.
I picked up a new horse trailer in Oklahoma, but the 6" drop hitch I brought with was too low for the empty trailer. So, the trailer place sold me a 4" drop receiver to get home with - but they only...

Bought while waiting for my 2022 Ranger order to be built. After having a sprayed in truck bed liner put in my new truck, decided I don't wish to use this cover after all.
Box it was shipped in is unopened.
Looking to sell for $275 with either...
It was done by a Bullet dealer. Bullet was founded by the guy who started LineX. I chose Bullet because the UV protection is part of the product, not an optional top coat you have to purchase.
I wouldn't say it's grippy. But, I have a rubber bed mat I'm putting on top as the spray in bedliners...
