Maybe Ford should build a decent product. I'll likely buy a USED ford again someday but not the expensive junk they are building now. My first Ford (1994 Ranger) was the biggest POS I ever owned. I gave Ford a second chance and they failed again. Peace out.
Sold my beautiful Ranger today due to these issues. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I was a little underwater on my loan but worth it for peace of mind. Good luck everyone.
There is a technical service bulletin for the hard shifting issues. They are saying it is a PCM problem. Please pass this on to others.

So for giggles I switched on my terrain management for snow and ice on my way home. It's 100 degrees here today. Aside from the initial take off lag built in to reduce wheel spin the transmission performed 1000 times better than the two wheel drive profile. I tried slow acceleration, fast...
Oh I'm trying. I'm also frustrated that the problem isn't constant. You know how that goes when you go to a repair shop. Drove home today and everything was just fine.
Thanks for the response. I have ZERO faith in dealerships to deal with this problem in a satisfactory manner. I've had many negative experiences through the years and having to take my vehicle to a dealership gives me heart palpitations and headaches. That being said I made an appointment with...
How much does the updated PCM program cost because I'm sick of this transmission?now it jerks when I put it in park. It's ridiculous how rough and erratic this transmission acts.
I realize some of my terminology is wrong but the point I was trying to make is that the shifting problems are unacceptably erratic and annoying. There's no rhyme or reason to when it acts up and I'm sure when some wet behind the ears tech takes it for a drive it will not act up. Let me know...
I have 13000 miles on my 2019 and the transmission is getting on my nerves. Hard shifts, missed shifts, extra shifts, clunking when I mash the gas pedal to pass someone. I though over time that it would "learn" but if anything it's gotten worse. I know I have a heavy foot but the way it shifts...
I have numerous bent fins just from bugs. Speed limit is 80 in Idaho and we have some big bugs but I wasn't expecting this much damage at 10,000 miles. I'll be using my vacation to find something to protect it.
I have a little over 10k on my Ranger and the bottom part of my radiator has a lot of bug damage and it's not even bug season yet!! That big hole in the front must act like a funnel or bug vacuum. Top part of radiator is protected by the intercooler and grill so not nearly as bad. Anyone else...
Johnson Valley OHV recreation area. Means dry lake. Home of the King of the Hammers off-road race.
Don't break down out here because the rattle snakes and scorpions won't help you and the ravens only laugh.
