It's true, isn't it. Did I really need it? No. But.....
It is a nice feature and once you have it it's hard not to have one. For me it comes in handy as my hands are usually full when at work so I can use 1 finger to unlatch the tailgate and not have it slamming down. If I wasn't in/out of my bed all the time I might not care as much.....Who am kidding I'd have 2 if I could. ??

I never heard of them before I bought my 2016 Tacoma. The first time I opened the tailgate I was like. ??

I see you continue to invoke images our greatest Canadian Prime Minister ever, Howie Mandel.

When I was in college, I booked talent for our pub nights, dances, etc. An agency would sponsor a week at a resort for people like me from campuses across the country. They’d ply us with food and beer, mostly beer, and showcase the acts we could book - bands, comedians, dance troops, singers, hypnotists, etc. Howie was one of the acts. Sadly, I took a pass on him.

I did however book Bryan Adams before he was “Bryan Adams” for a free concert during Frosh week - only 52 people showed up.

Clearly, I sucked at booking and promoting talent. ?

That's good to know because if/when you ever make back down here I'm making the plans. ?

Clearly, you should or we’d end up at Applebee’s, followed by a late show at the Gila River Casino.

Ranger took me to Husqvarna shop to pick up a hedge trimmer (*) which I decided to buy for clearing the hedges near electric fences for horses (touch a twig and it becomes very poor rope fence).

When I got back I had to try it on nearest place, which was this overgrown burden road that runs through my plot. So I cleared the road with the hedge trimmer, chainsaw and a pole saw and was taking the branches through a chipper when the neighbors (with a hay plot behind the road) workers started to come in. One to cut the hay, one to collect it and then the neighbor came with a feed trailer. Stopped there thanked for the clearing and asked what beer do I want :)

So for a little drive and equipment test I got free beer. Not a bad day.

Picked up a Ford OEM drop in bed liner, and installed today! So far I've bought the following stuff:

1. Tyger Side Steps
2. Draw-Tite Hitch
3. Tri-Fold Tonneau
4. Splash Guards
5. AVS Aeroskin for hood.
6. Factory 7 Way Plug and Harness
7. Tailgate Assist
8. Bed Liner.

Next, I'd like a Raptor Grill and a Redarc trailer brake controller!!! That should finish things off nicely.

Dropped off a wheel (FiST Sumner tires)for repair at a local shop. Minor pothole damage. Repair will probably cause cosmetic damage which will give me the opportunity to powdercoat all this winter.

Currently they're black O.Z. Ultraleggaras on a White Platinum FiST. Was thinking if I need to powdercoat that one I might switch 'em up to Forrest green for next summer. Was thinking Bronze but it's derivative, want to switch it up if I have to coat 'em.

HI Folks,

Went to Safeway from the RV park to get wound dressing as Margie tore her leg open in a fall in the RV on the way up. About 6" x 4" of skin stripped away...YUK. Got her dressed up properly today and now the long healing process... I think she learned to stay put in the RV when it is underway! Also got some food stuff as long as we were there.
Hi Phil.

Sorry to hear about your wife's accident. I am sure you know all about treating such and such, but if you have never used Bacitracian Ointment (5% antibiotic) and Aquaphor Ointment, they are a good combo for major skin repair (based on personal experience).

The Bacitracian is short term to help prevent infection from normal skin bacteria's etc., about 5 days usually and the Aquaphor is a daily dressing afterwards. Both are over-counter type items, can even find them at grocery stores sometimes. PM me if you want specific's on how I know this stuff,

Anyway, it all helps to keep the "painage" from the wound to a minimum and keeps scarring to 'almost' none.

Best to both you you.

Terry

Went out and picked up some jalapenos so I can make a "batch" of red beans and rice. I had to order the beans from Amazon since you can't get Blue Runner Creole Cream Style Red Beans up here in Iowa....my daughter-in-law made RB&R the last time I was down to see them and got me hooked. It will be 12 -- 16oz cans for the Blue Runner plus 6 cans of regular red beans (to stretch it out), diced jalapenos, chicken sausage, and some chicken stock. I portion it out and freeze the containers. Then heat and eat with rice, cornbread, and a healthy dose of Louisiana Hot sauce ?

Update: It was delicious :p
