I'm in SW Florida and thought I was going to die installing my mud flaps in the garage the other day. It was 96 with 80% humidity. According to my wife when I came inside I had become "The Swamp Ass Monster". She ushered me directly to the pool.
Up here in the North East we got the hot humid phase going right now. It's not normal for this time of year. 91 degrees, feels like 97 with 60% humidity and rising. I know it's hot when I take the dogs out and play fetch with them. After 3 or 4 runs they have had enough. Tongues hangin out panting away... No more...

I can't deal with humidity now especially after living here. The high temps can be trying at times but for the most part it is a dry heat. We have our monsoon season which starts in early July and runs through roughly mid Sept. The dew point and humidity will rise then and it's uncomfortable with the high temps but nothing like it was back east.

When I installed my dash cam last week it was 104 but the humidity was only 8% and the dew points are 28%. It was much more tolerable being hot n dry than hot n wet! Our long range for next week shows 115, that's way to early! ?

My friends who moved to AZ from VA (and, VA, in July can be ugly with the humidity) say people talk about 'the dry heat'. They say it's more like a blast furnace. But, I think I might take it over 98 with 90% humidity.

The only way to describe it is heat your oven to 400, put a fan facing you and then open it. Seriously that's what it feels like walking out into it on a 110+ day. After living in MA for 50 years I'll take this over the snow, cold, dreary days and humidity. With 300+ days of sunshine, it really puts you in a better mood.

The Augusta, GA area has been miserable due to humidity past few days - so I've tried to do absolutely zero with my Ranger outdoors.

I've lived in this area my entire life and you never "adjust to it" like dry hot weather or cold areas. They need to add a "swamp-ass advisory" like they do for flooding or heavy rain here.

@Glocker
F___ swamp ass! Yes, the humidity is sapping down here!

This past Thursday I drove my Ranger up to NJ from GA for a funeral. (No condolences necessary, my aunt passed in November 2019, was cremated, and then COVID delayed everything until this weekend!) Today I drove back to GA from NJ, thus ending a long weekend and a lot of time sitting in the Ranger. Roughly 1900 miles round trip. Unfortunately I was full send the whole time, and with the accessories on the Ranger, I got horrible gas mileage at 90 mpH. :D

90 mpg? What‘s your secret for such great performance - I could use all the help I can get. ?

How do you like those new tires?

HI Folks,

Went to Safeway from the RV park to get wound dressing as Margie tore her leg open in a fall in the RV on the way up. About 6" x 4" of skin stripped away...YUK. Got her dressed up properly today and now the long healing process... I think she learned to stay put in the RV when it is underway! Also got some food stuff as long as we were there.
Wow, Phil...best to the Mrs.
Funny, my brother is a yr older, I'm 69...and he just told me he ripped the skin on his arm, on the door frame going in the garage, just bumped it... and said it was disappointing that as you age, your skin gets thin. I told him yeah, along with your hair! And not so much the belly?. BTW, he loves my Ranger, but claims not to have the $$$, and still drives his old white '98 Ranger, reg. cab.

Hi Trevor,

Margie will be 80 next month....skin is so fragile as you age, and the greatest cause of sever injury here in Green Valley is falls. Bones are frail too.

Hi Folks,

The Ranger took Margie and I to the Lumberyard Brewery for dinner tonight. Found out the Beaver Street Brewery is the sister restaurant brewery to the Lumberyard. Menus are different offerings in the same overall format that is the same. Dave (AZscorpian) recommended this place and was spot on...Great place...but wind today forced us inside...20mph wind with gusts to 35mph....

What suspension are you running? Also, what was the offset for your wheels?
I just have the Fox 2.0 coilovers in the front and still have the FX4 shock in the rear. The wheels has 0 offsets. I have lots of trimming to do just on the plastic and paper phelt.

Hi Phil,

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was afraid they might have changed after Covid as some places seemed to have cheapen out their portions. We didn't get a chance to go there last July because they has such limited seating because of the restrictions and we didn't want to wait. I'll have to try the Beaver Street Brewery when we go back this July.

17x8.5 0 offset, FUEL COVERT GRAY FACE D716.
On a Fox 2.0 coil over in the front. But I need more clearance for full compression. After trimming the best I can get is just a bit over 1/2 inch at 3/4 lock and this will rub during compression. I'll get more answer tomorrow.
