I towed one of those from north of Atlanta to Boca Raton (roughly 9 hrs). We averaged 75 mph and when we ended up on 95 near our exit down here in FL, we were dicing it up in traffic with that 6x12 out back around 85 mph. Yes, it was pretty stupid but the truck handled it very impressively and the BLIS adjusted for the trailer length was an asset for the lane changes in that environment.

Yeah the BLIS adjusted for trailer works really well!

Man you were in a rush ;)

I used it to rescue my zero turn from the woods
I had to do this once too. I was cutting my daughters property an one of the control handle brackets broke. It was a known problem on the Hustler models. They make a replacement upgraded kit with beefier brackets. Hers was out of warranty so it was around $650.

I used it to rescue my zero turn from the woods...finished mowing front yard and started on the back side where it's pretty steep...something exploded under the trans-axle and the mower lost all drive...

Same deal. Hit a stump* with a front mover and it went instant dead. Pulled the free roll pins and got it out. Apparently the failure is nothing obvious so prolly blew the engine or something and need to take it to some unbreak (sic) shop.

* = Apparenty the winter frost raised the stump, as last year it was level with the ground.

That's a bummer...thankfully, my engine and blades were still running...just no drive...off to the mower shop...

Yeah. It's an annoyance as I had no backup mower (ok, I do.. the older EV ride on, but that's over the horsies place) not good enough trailer to transport it.

The backup problem I fixed by getting a 20" side discharge walk-behind. The transport problem I need to check if the crappy trailer (tm) would somehow work, but loading/unloading might be a pain. Maybe I'll just go pick up a loaner for it.

Have to say that the side discharge beats the bioclip on cut quality on longer grass, but that is one hell of a walk to do on the yard (about 9.8km or 6 miles if I ran the numbers correctly). Tried to run it on trimmer, but that got boring after 4 hours.

Pepper needed some gas, so we went to the local grocery store pumps...first time in my life I paid over 5 buckskins a gallon! But in reality I had credit from groceries of 30 cents. They limit you to 25 gallons if you use the credits, which meant I could only fill the Ranger plus 2 cans for the mowers, and saved a whopping $7.50! The tab was almost $120...Yikes...

Not today but over the weekend:

Carried 1000+ lbs of dead pine tree to the landfill.

I took my 22 Tremor on a great drive.
Left home this morning at 3:50 and got back at 10:10 am.
384 miles. Basic route was south on Hwy. 1, east Hwy. 46, and north Hwy. 101.
By leaving very early I arrived at the good part of Hwy. 1 at 5:10. Did not have any vehicle in front of me the 80 or so miles down 1.
This is a world class drive. Stunning views. There was a full moon last night and it really lit things up until the sun arrived.
When I left there was 53 miles of local surface street driving on the tank.
Not the best for fuel mileage.
Total miles driven including those miles was 437.
Hand calculation gave me 19.4 mpg. This was with only 510 miles on the truck. A long ways from being broken in. I was pleased with that number. Tremor is stock except for 105 lbs. of winch and 75 lbs. of tools and recovery gear.
Not the best driving conditions for mileage.

Even stopped to take a picture. That is the moon in the distance.

Technically this is “What did I do WITH my Ranger” six weeks ago. I made a convert!

Six weeks ago, my best friend who moved to Tucson a year ago was in town on business. After dinner, I showed him my Ranger. He loved it, and he said that he was thinking about getting a truck.

He was back in town on business again today, and we had dinner again. Just before leaving he said, “Oh, I meant to tell you. I bought a Ranger.” He bought a slightly used 2022 Ranger XLT crew cab.

I told him about the forum and asked him if he has a tailgate damper yet. He rolled his eyes at me on the former and had no idea what I meant on the latter. I tried. ??‍♂

Mark, it's probably better he didn't join the forum. He'd soon find out how much we cost him and you guys wouldn't be friends anymore. lol As for the damper, Just send him this link and tell him he'll thank you later. ?

I agree on the forum. No reason to make him spend his money.

Instead of sending him the link, I’m thinking of buying him a damper and having it shipped directly to him!
