  1. What are you guys towing?

Ho are you liking the curt suspension?
  2. What are you guys towing?

I'm surprised that you're not using an enclosed trailer. Do they put salt where you are or only sand/gravel? Traveling up here like you are, with an open trailer, would rust out my ATV within a year.
  3. Tansmission CDF Drum Issues: Does Ford use Updated Parts?

Thanks! So far so good. Honestly, if the 6G Ranger came with a 6 foot bed, I would be in one right now.
  4. Tansmission CDF Drum Issues: Does Ford use Updated Parts?

Oh Yeah! Upgraded the skid plate since I'm rubbing a lot more than before even if I have more ground clearance. It's also a pain downtown or making sharp turns. It feels like the Titanic lol.
  5. Tansmission CDF Drum Issues: Does Ford use Updated Parts?

Hahaha not a Taco but it's big brother, the Tundra. Got a 2022 SR5 Tundra, TRD Offroad, crew cab with the 6 and a half foot bed. Try saying that fast three times lol. I like it very much, the extra interior space is quite nice and I finally have a real bed! The extra size on the fuel tank is...
  6. Tansmission CDF Drum Issues: Does Ford use Updated Parts?

Unfortunately, I don't have the truck anymore and I gave all the receipt and repairs to the new owner. Is there something you would like to know?
  7. What are you guys towing?

Nice setup! What speed were you going? Was it all the time or on the highway? The trailer also appears to be fairly nose up and that would load the back trailer axle and cause some sway.
  8. General Grabbers - anticipated life seems to be less than I'd planned

They still sell the Frontier up here but not the Titan. I agree, if they kept selling the Titan I would have bought one.
  9. General Grabbers - anticipated life seems to be less than I'd planned

Go big or go home  and thank you! I really liked the ranger except for the transmission and the short box. The tremor package was so good and the cherry on top of the ranger sundae.
  10. General Grabbers - anticipated life seems to be less than I'd planned

Hahaha yup! At least Toyota is trying to actually fix it but I digress. I got a 2022 SR5 TRD Off-Road Crewmax long bed. Quite happy with it so far. If you look at current half-ton trucks, you have options, but they all have major problems: Ford F150: Same transmission problems as the Ranger...
  11. General Grabbers - anticipated life seems to be less than I'd planned

Just replaced my Ranger for a Toyota Tundra since the transmission was still giving me issues after the 3rd time being repaired... It was also becoming too small for my needs and could not keep up anymore. As for tires, it was a weird situation. I got two sidewall flats, one in the front and...
  12. General Grabbers - anticipated life seems to be less than I'd planned

Mine lasted 35k miles before they hit the wear bar. They were easily the worst tire I have run since I started driving. Half of those miles were towing and with payload, but I'm usually able to get 55k-65k miles before I need to replace tires. I had multiple flats, tires were chunking, poor...
  13. Finally a Ford TSB to Try and Fix our Transmission Problems (TSB 24-2046)

Starts off nice and slow until the transmission goes kaboom and leaves you stranded somewhere.
  14. Finally a Ford TSB to Try and Fix our Transmission Problems (TSB 24-2046)

Still BS that it has not evolve into a recall at this point.
  15. Finally a Ford TSB to Try and Fix our Transmission Problems (TSB 24-2046)

Well, took a couple of test drive to show them the weird behavior, but they finally replaced my CDF drum and some. Here's the attached note that came with the repair.

  17. 11 MPG over 100+ Miles in 4WD on White Rim Trail, Canyonlands Utah

No! It's perfectly fine and can make for some interesting challenge.
  18. 11 MPG over 100+ Miles in 4WD on White Rim Trail, Canyonlands Utah

I'm getting between 10 and 14mpg when I leave it in 4wd for hunting. Lots of mud and stop start so it kills millage.
  19. Check Engine Code P0402

Same situation, dealer replaced mine and no more code. I did not notice a change in behavior.
  20. Tansmission CDF Drum Issues: Does Ford use Updated Parts?

After they replaced my valve, the transmission would skip 4th gear. It started going into 4th gear again and started doing the same jerk so it's at the dealer again. They were not able to reproduce the jerk, but they are looking into it. They are also replacing my EGR and fuel pump since the...
