Mine is getting a new Valve body at 43 000km's (26 000 miles). Reported to the dealer that I was having issues with 4th gear, they pulled the code and did a quick drive and ordered the part.
Service rep was telling me they were seing a lot of transmissions problems with Ranger that tow or...
For me it was my first car. A 2001 honda civic coupe. Put 16 000KM (10 000mi) in just under 2 months. We lived far from everything and I really like driving. So as any 16 year old would do, I drove all the time everywhere for no reason.
Ended up putting 250 000km (156 000mi) on top of the...
@craw169 Please get a good set of winter tires and then some all season tires like the yokohama geolandar G015 or any of the motomaster tires in stock at the local canadian tire.
I'm not too far from you and we can see ice and snow for 6 months a year. I think it justifies a good set of winter...
Mine are... ok. I will not be replacing them with another set of grabber's when the time comes.
They started off super quiet with good traction in sand, rocks, wet and winter. I now have 31 000km's on the truck (19 000mi) and half the thread is gone. The started humming pretty bad over 80km/h...
It was me and the Dr ;)
And I know!! I parked my ranger next to the colorado at the dealer when I tried it and they are so close, but siting in it, for me at least, it feels much smaller, especially in the back seat, even when the specs are saying otherwise.
I don't know if they have 2nd gen...
It's not you, the interior of the new Colorado and Canyon are smaller than the current ranger. I also find the interior storage abysmall and the seating not good.
But man it rides nice, the bed has stake pockets and plenty of tie downs. Power feels super linear and good, the aftermarket is...
55,535 for a lariat ranger tremor with tow package and bed liner vs 73,890 for a lariat f150 tremor with the tow package and bed liner up here in Canada. That's before taxes, if we included taxes it's 63k for the Ranger and 84K for the F150. Prices are insane.
Awwww sucks.
Agreed on the transmission being finicky when cold. I let my truck idle for at least 10 minutes when it's below -10C (14F) or else it either wont shift or shift super roughly.
