good question, as I towed a 5,000lbs trailer at 65 mph without issues on an interstate. I did try to keep it 60 or less for fuel economy but hit 68 mph while passing a a tiny little suv hauling

I have a WDH hitch not sure of the make but ratings put it at 7,000 pounds. (bought the hitch with the trailer as it was too small for the previous owners new trailer). Got lucky that his RAM 1500 and the Ranger had similar ride heights.

haven't had a chance to put it on a scale, but at least 550-600 pounds of tongue weight.
Thanks :)

Made a video on how to get tongue weight using CAT scales (includes pricing). I think everyone should go to a CAT scale, even if they’re not towing. Surprising how many rigs are overloaded.

2021 Escape 19. Mine is 3850 dry, up to 5000 loaded. These are semi custom, so dry weights can vary quite a bit. Pulled it home on a ball. Have an Equalizer WDH to set up soon.

Congratulations on this high quality trailer, especially fiberglass!

What were the problems on the Interstate? I am looking at a similar trailer. MPG? Too much sway? Or not enough power? Thanks
Our trailer is similar. #3900 dry. We use WDH and have a Ford Trailer braking system. We always use interstate and do not have an issue driving on the interstate. We tend to go between 55 to 65 mph, pending on weather and road conditions. Our MPG range from 10 to 18, pending weather and road conditions as well.

By the way, our Ranger odometer shows 28,750 miles, and our travel trailer has over 18,000 miles. This Ranger spend most of its lifetime pulling our trailer and it is an amazing tow vehicle. Very happy with it.

On the way home to Maine after 5 months on the road. About 3500lbs fully loaded. At 65 mph I get about 14-15 mpg. I use a Ford installed Redarc brake controller and a standard ball hitch without any sway control, no issues at all (knock on wood!).

That' a nice looking rig. It even matches!
It looks like it would compare closely in size and towability to the regular R-Pod which I had in mind in my earlier comments on another thread.

Yes, I think it's very similar to the R-Pod. 16' overall, camper itself is about 13', almost the same length as the R-Pod.
