I don’t see them discounting it heavily. The carriers insurance will pay for the damage and I don’t see the carriers‘ insurance company writing a big check to anybody except the body shop.

Yeah , same here , hell , they probably just rack some miles on it , call it "used" and add 5 grand to the price...

The carrier’s insurance likely has a $1,000-$1,500 deductible and that might be all that is offered to avoid a claim - the dealer might also eat a bit of profit just to keep you happy. Best of luck on this - whether you have it repaired or not, I hope it works out for you.
